'Swallownest' brick

Swallownest was a small settlement 5 miles ESE of Sheffield between Beighton and Aughton. The brickworks were south of Swallownest alongside the Sheffield-Worksop railway. Today the site is mostly wasteland with a plant hire firm and Sheffield Caravans occupying the part adjacent to the old Chesterfield Road. The site of the brickworks is shown on the location map.
