This wall has been a feature of this garden since forever! The Victorians often lined a south-facing Cotswold stone wall with brick - it held the heat from the sun during the day, and helped them to grow espalier fruit trees, like peaches, in the garden.
I was walking along a country path near home when I smelled a gorgeous scent. Unusual. Then I saw why: a bunch of wisteria was escaping from the garden behind the stone bricks. How many of you have had, at least once in your life, the wish to escape?

A shot I recently added to the PhotographyTextures.com DVD, of a grungy brick wall wall, complete with bicycle tread marks.
Another shot from Sunday outside an old church. Bricks have always fascinated me. Many years ago I worked as a hod carrier - the person who carries the bricks and mortar to the bricklayer. Very hard work!
'grmblmmbl...
What's with all the shouting soldier? Could you keep it down a little? People are trying to sleep down here!'
'Prisoner escaping sergeant!'
'Prisoner? What prisoner? All we have is a bunch of bones in the brigg! Bones don't...
AAAAH!'
