Within hours of seeing my first swallow return from Africa, they were down in the muddy puddles dipping dried grass into the wet mud for their nest building. That's dedication !!!

This wall has been a feature of this garden since forever! The Victorians often lined a south-facing Cotswold stone wall with brick - it held the heat from the sun during the day, and helped them to grow espalier fruit trees, like peaches, in the garden.

I was walking along a country path near home when I smelled a gorgeous scent. Unusual. Then I saw why: a bunch of wisteria was escaping from the garden behind the stone bricks. How many of you have had, at least once in your life, the wish to escape?

I've seen this building numerous times when I'm down there and never knew what is was...from the Google then...
