The first of two trophies I built for the 2025 Middle Earth LEGO Olympics. This was also made for a recent article I wrote over at Bricknerd about set 10367 Balrog Book Nook, which you can read here: bricknerd.com/home/book-nooks-balrogs-and-beyond-6-14-2025. If you'd like a chance to win this model for yourself, you can check out and participate in the contest over in the Discord server: discord.gg/9GaQ462W.
Just a mundane means of transportation, nothing to get excited about. My entry to the Festival of Mundanity on The LEGO Car Blog and BrickNerd
Map of right angle triangles with different leg lengths that share the same hypotenuse, up to a hypotenuse length of 25. LEGO calls these "Pythagorean pairs". The map also includes a few Pythagorean triples (magenta squares), and indicates common wedge angles.
Fun fact: the angles you can achieve with these always line up exactly with a pythagorean triple.
This showed up in a guest article I wrote for BrickNerd on SHIP structure, angles and polygon construction. It can be used in all manner of places though.
As another entry to the Festival of Mundanity, I decided to post my 6-wide Lego MOC VW T2 Transporter. The Bulli has developed a cult following since its introduction in 1967, like its older sibling T1. Nevertheless it had originally been designed as the most mundane means of transport for craftspeople and farmers. The different versions buyers could chose from, with and without windows, standard or high roof, closed or open bed etc. were advertised with the slogan "Die Zunft der Vernunft," something like "the guild of rationality" or mundanity (?!), alluding to carpenters', roofers' and others' membership in traditional trade guilds. The camper version which today is the icon of #vanlife was just one of a number of options back in the day. Check out this excellent collection of historical ads for more Bulli mundanity: www.vw-t2-bulli.de/de-promotion-vw.html.
My MOC features front doors, a sliding side door, as well as lots of clip, SNOT and bracket work to achieve the proper shaping and proportions. I studied many of the excellent T2 MOCs out there and worked long on refining the shape as close to scale as possible while retaining minifig playbility. The flowers on the wall is inspired by this lovely wall made by Kristel (kjw010). When I first saw that, I always wanna try to make one myself if the theme or subject is right, and I think this perfumes bottle will looks good using that beautiful technique.

―Leia Organa, disguised as Boushh
My third, and last, entry for NerdVember2021 is the bounty hunter Boushh, or Princess Leia Organa disguised as Boushh. I'll let you decide 😊
A second entry into the Bricknerd Nerdvember Contest.
A little desk model of one of the many gantry systems MCU Tony Stark used to get into his armor. I like how the shiny bits give it an industrial feel, though it's 'playability' leaves a lot to be desired.
Grogu, Baby Yoda, The Child. Whatever you want to call it, it's the same adorable little thing from the Star Wars Mandalorian show. Stay tuned for an announcement for instructions coming very soon.
Instructions are now ready. See the article I wrote and link at the end on BrickNerd from January 10, 2021. bricknerd.com/home/this-is-the-way-to-lego-baby-yoda-grog...
It occurred to me (after I gave it away) that I never actually took a decent picture of my proton pack. So here it is. You can find instruction for this in BrickJournal issue 29.
Built for Bricknerd's Nerdvember Contest.
I really liked the visual of the 'ball of Groot,' surrounding the other Guardians to keep them safe. Wasn't easy to build and a bit disappointed by how difficult it was to photograph and get the depth of the 'ball'. Overall, pleased.
PlunderCats are on the move, PlunderCats are loose! The PlunderCats are a band of ferocious feline pirates lead by the fearsome Captain Fluffybeard. Their ship is basically just a box with sails since the cats are usually more interested in the crate that the pirate ship parts arrive in than the actual ship itself. Their hideout is located in the middle of the Catribbean on Cat Skull Island (which used to be inhabited by Mouselanders) and is essentially a big cat tree. This is where they are keeping their enemy, the scurvy dog Admiral Barkington, hostage and where they are hiding their most prized treasure, the Golden Cheezburger. Plunder, plunder, PlunderCats yo-HO!

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Terminator 2: Judgement Day, one of the greatest action movies of all time, and the Marvel comics of the same title that were released to tie in with the movie release. To celebrate this occasion, I have created a bust of one of the iconic T-800 Endoskeletons as seen in the opening scene for this year's Nerdvember challenge. Built in the same style as official LEGO event exclusive character busts and equipped with two light bricks to light up the eyes with the press of a button on each side of the skull, this detailed display piece is designed to look authentic and make every LEGO and Terminator fan go: "I want that!"
Time to nerd some animations films...

For the Cube Your Enthusiasm Contest.
Architeuthis Pirata commonly known as "Pirate Squid, Terror of the Seven Seas". Captain Kraken and his crew of Mollusc Marauders are not passing up any opportunity to pillage and plunder. Build in a little under two month for the BrickNerd “pi-RATS & BUG-aneers” contest. Based on the frame of the Silent Mary, the whole bow/head section can lift up to show-off the kraken's fearsome mouth. I'd love to add more rigging but did run out of time and string. The sails are original lego, dyed with black fabric dye.
I made this for OYCZ Challenge (Out of Your Comfort Zone Challenge) v.s LEGOMINDED (Mike Mckenzie).
The game challenge idea came when I felt I’m trapped by my favorite theme and making the same theme again and again, but I don’t have the will on making and try a new theme though I really want it. Basically it’s a simple game where your opponent will challenge you to make a theme you haven’t made before with no time limit, it’s not a competition but more on supporting each other to try making new things and have fun along the way :)
So I’ve been challenged by my friend Mike to make a Zombie theme which I never done it before and I challenge him to make a Spaceship theme which he never done it too. For me making this zombie theme is a new experience which I’ll never comes up and try it if it’s by my own decision. I don’t like zombie theme before, but now after I tried it surprisingly I kind a like and enjoy it :D So thanks to you Mike for your challenge and support on the process of this build (btw where’s my spaceship buddy? I hope it’s not lost in space) XD
For this build I try to make something different than the usual zombie builds I’ve seen, I want the feel to be realistic creepy and spooky, I hope I have accomplished that in some way :)
So far there are 16 pairs (32 players) playing this game by now since we launched the game a week ago. The fighting arena and the WIP photos is in here Bricks MOC Corner, where the final build can be put at this Flickr group here (optional): OYCZ Challenge, you’re welcome to play the game if you want, just check out the rules at the FB group or Flickr group above :)

Fabergé egg
If you look deep inside, you'll see in the interior some little hidden frogs admiring a powerful artifact.
Made for Bricknerd article , which explore the new parts featured in the latest Dreamzzz wave.
2016 marks my second full year on Flickr. I built a total of eleven build, far less than previous years, but they are no doubt some of my best.
- All eleven builds made it to 99+. Four of those passed two hundred, and two of those passed three hundred!
- I reached 1K followers!
- I was blogged several times, by The Brothers Brick, BrickNerd, and The Brick Bucket!
- My most popular creation, Barrels Out of Bond, was built this year as well. It's currently sitting at 386 favorites.
- I've added a ton to my collection this year - doubling it at least. I'm very excited those parts to use!
I'd like to thanks all my friends and supporters out there! You guys have made this another great year of LEGO!
To 2017!
I built this for the Nerdvember 2021 Comic contest in the scene category. I chose to recreate the iconic TARDIS console from the tv show Doctor Who.

As was announced today, our beloved BrickNerd is back! Dave Schefcik has gathered an impressive lineup of editors to revitalise the site and create a community-focused hub – something I just couldn’t say no to.
Our aim: A diverse platform that provides in-depth articles on MOCs and their creators, community-driven events and contests, detailed interviews and features, all of which celebrate our AFOL culture in all its intricacies.
But that's all just words – so feel free to bookmark the site again and see for yourself what we'll have in stock.
I for one am very excited! My first feature is going to cover how my building space and how my collection is organised – something that gets asked a lot! :)
And yes, of course the Nerdly had to be castle-themed :D
Since I spent Christmas far away from my bricks you get to see a rare render on my stream.
For the RogueOlympics on www.RogeuBricks.de I built a camera with only 101 parts, which you can find on my stream.
I liked this first 101 parts MOC so much, that I decided to build it again - but then without part limit.
The camera itself is only build with LEGO parts and, the Nintendo set tiles fitting perfectly for the screen on the backside. Also the objektive is brick build in this one.

Possibly the biggest, baddest, most bulbous speeder bike to emerge from the drawing boards of Llwyngwril Systems. The Turbinia was based around a massive turbine.
Centuries later, all the evidence left for its existence are these four archive photos. They leave many questions unanswered:
Was the giant turbine some form of centrifugal compressor? If so, were did the all of air go? The nozzles on the rear of the bike are quite small.
As the turbine made up a considerable part of the mass of the speeder bike and was effectively a large gyroscope, how the Turbinia generate enough turning force to manoeuvre?
How did the pilot get up to the cockpit?
The mechanics of the anti-gravity systems needed for the Turbinia to hover are, of course, simple and well known.

Just a mundane means of transportation, nothing to get excited about. My entry to the Festival of Mundanity on The LEGO Car Blog and BrickNerd
MEGA Core Vehicle Platform (M.C.V.P) LL 928
The M.C.V.P emerged as the main utility and ground combat support vehicle for OrionBlu soon after the Blue Jacket proved to maintain air superiority over the Sonic Star. The main vehicle, simply referred to as “the Core”, has multiple platform load outs ranging from strong cargo boxes to advanced weapon turrets or tactical recon transports. The Core is fitted with strong armor plating, oversized all terrain wheels with independent suspension and advanced shielding capabilities. The Core is normally crewed by three, a pilot, a Core utilities manager and a platform specialist. Most Core vehicles also include a systems robot to monitor the overall functionality of the Core.
To increase the Core’s utility, a variety of detachable, wheeled trailing platforms can be attached to supplement the Core’s load out. The extensive list of trailing platform load outs range in function from construction and utility cranes to planetary artillery. Over half of the load outs use the same trailing Control Center which may be crewed independently of the Core if the Control Center will be detached for stationary duties, such as use as a fixed listening post or semi-permanent anti-cruiser artillery.

I always love Stitch character from the first time I saw it, and now even more since my 2 years old 2nd son have a similar behavior like Stitch...cute. like to climb up anything and like to mess up the whole house when no ones around…lol
So one of the first thing that comes up in my mind when I opened the 2x2 Dark Blue Domes was…Wow! This is the perfect piece I’ve been looking around for Stitch to be added to my Brick Buddies character collection.
The only problem is, I need 4 pcs of 2x2 Round Blue Tiles that are rare and I have order it from Denmark’s Bricklink Store, though I made the order on the first week of this month but untill today it haven’t arrive yet, on the other hand I have to share this today since I have my other planned builds that are on my list. For sure for my own satisfaction I’ll be taking another shot once the tiles arrive.
Update: 17 October 2015, new shot with the 2x2 round tile blue for the top of the head :)
It’s my 18th entry for Iron Builder competition vs. Gilcelio Chagas. The secret ingredient for this round is 2 x 2 Domes in Dark Blue.

Can't do Halloween without a skeleton :)
So I decided to revisit a build I did previously for a Bricknerd contest. Fixed some things on the skull and re-did the ribcage to show the little guys heart (as a doctor I'm pretty sure this is anatomically correct...)
In design school we learned that constraints inspire creativity. If you'd told me to build just any castle, I'd have been stuck. As soon as I decided to build variations on set 375, I had a dozen ideas.
This has been a year-long tribute to set 375 by Daniel August Krentz, the first non-Danish fan to end up as a designer at LEGO. Like the original, these are 32x32 studs, open up on the sides, and follow the footprint of three towers and a front and back gate.
I displayed this collection at BrickCon this year; the tree-top castle won Best Fantasy. More photos of all the castles:
Hope you've enjoyed them!
Blogged by Bricknerd, thank you :)

A little bit about the Corolla:
A Corolla was listed as an example of something mundane, and, since I own one (2007) myself, I thought I'd take a stab at this particular one! (2005 Corolla LE)
This was a surprisingly difficult build, but I wanted to force myself to give it a shot. I'm used to cars of the 1950s and hot rods, so this one was way out of my comfort zone. I'm reasonably happy with how it turned out, though! I hope you like it.

“Check it!” This is my second entry for this year's Nerdvember Contest .
This nerdly is based on one of my favorite characters from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Director Purah! The character and her design are fun and effervescent which I tried to convey here in the design and posing.
This MOC was so much fun to build and I am incredibly happy with the result.
TOYS! Imagination! Bag tag cubes! Everything a playroom needs. In this colorful entry, I included one bag tag cube with the insert removed, and both parts are used in the playroom. And there's an extra cube in the yard. ;). Built for the Cube Your Enthusiasm contest at BrickNerd, ending today!
Awhile back I was thinking about what I might like to display alongside the Wasp Wing Table Lamp I built last summer, and the idea came to me to build hard cover books with Art Nouveau inspired cover art. The idea was also inspired by the paperback novel covers that Shannon Sproule has built.
These are the first three of them, and I am still working on one more.
