What is becoming a rare event in Southern California, a storm brews off shore, slowly working its way toward the California coast. More please!

For those of you who have followed me of late would've noticed I've begun to put up my working shots for the current challenge on the week ahead's Macro Mondays. Now for those of you just flick(r)ing through you may not see any difference, and of course the theme and shot is very much alike. What I have a tendency to do is just alter a focal point, or indeed, add an additional focal point to draw the eye. You the viewer, as of course I do, will like some better than others (hopefully at least one?). I have left the identifications as shown by way of means to illustrate how I photographed them and then slightly altered various points ... thank you for taking the time to view my work, I am always very grateful.

I haven't been on flickr in awhile and I'm posting and running. Hope to do some catch up later today!

Macro Mondays - Brew

My wife found some bulk teas at the YWAM base where we are volunteering. When I was struggling with what to do for this theme, she suggested that I take a look at the Raspberry Cream Pie Rooibos Tea imported by DAVIDs TEA in Montreal Quebec Canada. She even offered to pour some onto the lid of the canister, so I could have some reflections.

Ingredients: Green rooibos, cane sugar, white chocolate chips, pink sugar mix, blackberry, raspberry, gomphrena petals, hibiscus, strawberry leaf, natural and artificial flavouring. HMM

Straying into Danny Liv territory for this one!

In 1990, archaeologists unearthed the royal brewery of the ancient Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. There, amid the ten brewing chambers, traces of ancient beer residue were discovered and subsequently made into ‘Tutankhamun ale’ – named after the Pharoah and Nefertiti’s supposed stepson. For a while, this became of one of the most expensive beers in the world. Inspired by the discovery, and being a craft beer lover, I set out to produce a photo for an imaginary brewery logo.

All sorts of weather today in a view that's more prone to Sunsets that I often post on here.

Not much blue though, frequent showers and then this lot tracking along the Downs which thankfully missed us

I've been drinking Rooibos Tea for over 10 years. It really is a good alternative to black tea. Today I made it in my Teavana Tea Pot. It's such a neat little gadget. You brew the tea in the pot then you put it on top of your cup and the brewed tea goes down the bottom of the pot into your cup!

Dry ice in a beer glass emits bubbles of carbon dioxide. The dramatic lighting could hardly be simpler - a flash is positioned directly behind the glass pointed straight at the camera.
