.This hairstyle consists of a single central braid at the crown flanked by a 'rope' twist above each ear...the remaining bulk of the hair was French braided, using an undersweeping motion. To complete the look the crown braid and two twists were interwoven around the French braid to form an 'attach e' bun..and thats that!
I finally got my hair cut today. My hair had gotten really long. I'll post pics of my new 'do soon. This is me a few days before the cut.
The photo above shows two versions of the same braid. The only difference is that each has a different strand order. On the left, the strand order is ABBA (shown in the step-by-step instructions below). On the right the method is the same but the strand order is ABAB.

I grew my beard (usually kept short) for six months just so I could braid it like this for the masquerade...
Braids are one of my favorite ways to use up scraps! My fellow Live Piecefully Bee members sent me tons of fabric back, so I decided to make this block and put them to good use!
