The photo above shows two versions of the same braid. The only difference is that each has a different strand order. On the left, the strand order is ABBA (shown in the step-by-step instructions below). On the right the method is the same but the strand order is ABAB.

An extreme macro of a very beautiful Spruce twig on a large tree in my front yard. Sometimes..well often times, I am so amazed at all of the details in nature..the incredible braiding and twisting involved in every little off-shoot along the main stem..just blows my mind..and this is but one of thousands and thousands of individual sprigs..

almost forgot about the braids! it's been one of those days. plus my hair is super greasy and i think i'm coming down with something. woohoo! when it rains, it pours (literally).

and whoever it is who keeps posting nasty comments, i hope you trip and fall on the concrete.
