I asked if anyone in my YTT group knew how to French braid because I have been wanting one for awhile since my hair has gotten longer (and I want it out of my face before my Wednesday stylist appt!) My mom usually does it for me, but she is out of town, so Kath stepped up and helped me with this lovely crown braid. She did it for me over our YTT lunch break :)
Thanks to Alecia for the photo!
This is our basic wide necked shirt with 1/4 sleeves and cut out in the back, laced with jersey strands and braids of jersey.
We are offering this top with or without the braid on the bottom hem :) Great for layering and if worn alone, should cover your bra lines in the back. Cut of the body is flattering, slightly loose and good for making curves in the right places.

Just after my new aunt (who is 10 years my junior) got her hair braided and had henna put on her hands and feet in preparation for the following day's meet and greet. She is sitting on her bridal bed where she will stay for the next month. She literally (as well as my uncle), will not go anywhere for the next month, but stay here and around the house.
This was my hear exactly 3 years ago :) The only reason I'd like to have long hair is so I can braid it! I love love braids <3 Funny thing is that I'm now even thinking of cutting my hair shorter, while 3 years ago I wanted nothing more than looooong hair..
Anyway, I need inspiration for my 52 weeks project. I just want to make something GOOD this time, the last few photos were a bit boring! mmm..
Braided seal intestines dry in the sun on a rack at a subsistence camp. This is a traditional food that Inupiat people have eaten for a long time. In a cold environment, all parts of a marine mammal like a seal are valuable sources of nutrition and calories to stay warm.
Braided seal intestine hangs over a suspended log.
on day eighty-seven, i combed out one of my dreadlocks.
i braided it, and left it like that.
i kind of think it's time for the dreads to go.
i'm tired of being judged for them.
i'm tired of looking like a stereotype.
(especially since it's a stereotype that i don't fit.)
most of all i'm tired of being defined and identifed by them.
one week from today they'll be a year old.
Ever have a cherished doll with thinning hair? Sure you could reroot her,but problem is you have no rerooting skills whatsoever . Well unfortunately, Tempest was one of those dolls. So i took an Hour of my time to sit down, and braid her WHOLE HEAD! I did it per plug too so these were built to last.I have no intention of taking these out.
I’m not a big fan of hair. I like it super short or long enough to wind, braid, twist or pull out of the way. At my current length, my options are limited, but I tried something new today. (And weren’t we all getting a little tired of the bouffant?)
Vest, Urban Vibe. Dress, Jam’s World (thrifted). Boots, Dan Post. Eye necklace, The Bead Factory. Owl necklace, gift from a fan.
It isn’t perfect. My roots and grays are evident and the
back is a little wonky, but I’m quite happy to have all the hairs tucked away. I wish I had the courage to walk out of the house in one of Calivintage’s turbans, because that would be even simpler and tidier.
