Large rivers like the Teklanika, Toklat, East Fork, and McKinley run in multiple channels between gravel bars. The rivers shift channel location, water volume, and turbidity depending on the season, time of day, rainfall, and glacial melt. Looking across a braided river in summer, the gravel bars seem to take on a pink glow from the swaths of blooming dwarf fireweed.

A pull through braid is a gorgeous way to get the big voluminous braids that are popular right now. You don’t need thick hair to make a pull through braid look big and romantic. But you do need a lot of ponytail holders or elastics. It’s technically a faux braid so it may be easier if you aren’t very practiced with braiding.

Braided suture material usually is manufactured from Vicryl (polyglactin 910), an absorbable, synthetic material, or from silk which is non-absorbable. I believe that this material is likely Vicryl.
