7.62x51mm battle rifle.
EDIT 10/19/15 - Replaced the pistol grip with an ergonomic version, enhancing stability and accuracy.
A powerful battle rifle developed and manufactured by Barton Precision Industries, the BR-28 combines simplicity with precision.
Created from a mix of SC-2010 and ACE-21 parts, it features the receiver, handguard and sights of the former, and the stock, magazine and mag release of the latter. Combined, it creates an easy to use platform that has found favor with law enforcement and criminals alike.
Its main drawback is its low rate of fire of 600 RPM. Paltry by today's standards, but sufficient enough to provide sustained. accurate fire. However, there are proposed future iterations with increased fire rates.
This particular BR-28 is equipped with a bipod-grip combo, muzzle brake, and a Barton Precision 5.5x magnification "EZ-Scope".

"The locomotive departed Barry Island for Bury on 21st May 1985 arriving the following day having been purchased by The Bury Steam Locomotive Company Limited. It is being restored by the Bury Standard 4 Group"
80097 was built at Brighton in December 1954 at a cost of £17,600. It was based on the Eastern Region working on the London, Tilbury and Southend Line (LT&S) working commuter services out of London until that route was electrified in 1962.
It spent time under the management of three different regions whilst in Service with BR. It moved from the Eastern to Western Region in 1962 and in September 1963 it was transferred to the London Midland when Oswestry and Machynlleth depots were transferred to the London Midland from the Western Region.
The journey by low roader to Bury was not without incident. The driver told the owners that he was going to stop overnight at Knutsford services but instead continued on towards Bury. When the locomotive did not arrive at Bury the owners contacted the police who checked but could not locate it. It subsequently turned out that the driver had driven as far as Heywood (which is close to Bury) and stayed overnight there. The following morning the low loader proceeded towards Bury but suffered a puncture which caused major delays to other traffic
In October 2018 the locomotive moved under its own steam again running light engine. This was its first running whilst in preservation – it was withdrawn from service with BR in July 1965.
The locomotive was subsequently lifted of its wheelset in order to deal with an axlebox which had run hot in October.
In mid January the locomotive successfully undertook a loaded test run before being taken into the workshops to be fully painted. It then entered traffic later in January 2019.
The owners originally thought that the restoration of the locomotive would be completed in four years. It actually took 35 years and cost £350,000.
"AK / FC Tower (just southeast of Falls Creek PA: built 1918) - governed two diamonds and an interchange with the (east-west) Allegheny Valley RR (later known as the PRR's Low-Grade sub-division) and another pair of diamonds and a connection with the Ridgway & Clearfield Ry (later a PRR line as well). The BR&P was double track north and south. One interchange track was in the southwest quadrant of the diamond and gave the BR&P access to the A.V., the Reynoldsville & Falls Creek Ry, and the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern RR. The other connecting track was in the northwest quadrant which connected to the R&C main track before it crossed the BR&P main tracks. The R&C crossed on a diagonal in the process of swinging from west to north (paralleling the BR&P to Brockway and Ridgway). The tower was (partially) built as AK, but not placed in service for 19 years (the plant was controlled by a PRR facility in the southeast quadrant of the diamond during that time). The Pennsylvania Public Service Commission ordered, in late 1936, that an interlocked switch and signal mechanism be installed by the B&O and the tower was placed in service (with electrical interlocking) on November 8, 1937. The tower was re-designated as FC."

The BR-66 is a .57 calibered rail gun. the magnetic rails along the barrel create a tubular magnetic field around the and inside the barrel to allow the projectile to be accelerated to about mach 5, twice the muzzle velocity of the barret m82. Like the BR-54 it is a single shot bolt action with a removable battery.
BR ran a series of IC 225 Awareness specials from Euston to Manchester, Liverpool, Carlisle and Glasgow during the last week of June 1993 to drum up support for a 2nd build of CL91s to speed up West Coast services.
In July 1982 there was an all-out strike on British Rail (over the proposed introduction of 'flexible rostering' I seem to recall - i.e. what bus staff have always had).
The NBC made hay whilst the sun shone and Victoria coach station was the scene of frantic activity.
Southdown even turned out this convertible Queen Mary Titan on a National Express duplicate to Brighton! Blimey, a cop on point duty - today about as common as PD3s in service. Nowadays the Met prefer to wear flak jackets and pose with machine guns.
Don't know where I was standing to take this picture - but it looks pretty dodgy!
As for the strike - it collapsed. BR decisively won. Rail unions have hardly troubled us since. If I sound a little unsympathetic I am merely extending to ASLEF (and occasionally the NUR) the courtesy they showed me when they regularly (and I mean regularly) used me as a hostage in their disputes throughout the 70's. I've never had to cycle to work since 1982!
