Getting steam engines around L-gauge curves is never easy. The second and fourth axle (from the front) have the flanged drivers. That was necessary to keep the cab close to the tender. The result is quite an overhang at the front.
The tender posed its own problems as it has 3 axles and no bogies. The detailing at the bottom is already compromised by the fact that Lego trains are too narrow for their gauge. I couldn't move the red sides out any further to allow for a sliding axle. In the end I put the middle wheels on a #5 axle on a 2-wide section of the chassis. That way you can see the wheels but they don't stop the tender taking curves.
