Third Way hosted Ambassador Arturo Sarukhán, Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, and Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), a leading voice in Congress on reducing cross-border violence, to discuss the current state of Mexico’s fight against the cartels and what steps US policymakers can take to help. This discussion was moderated by Spencer Hsu of The Washington Post and joined by Third Way’s Matt Bennett.

I often wonder what people did to get through a boring day at work in the not-so-distant past when the internet wasn't so common-place. Likewise, what did people do to pass time in a mall when Borders was not yet around?
The day felt very bland. Not that company wasn't good, in fact it was great. But the cold and the seemingly impenetrable fog did not do my mood any favours. So I was glad to see, upon reviewing the day's images, punchy reds to punctuate the neutral.

Southbound traffic on I 81 in WV sees this sign for the first exit in VA. Notice how "Route 11" is written out as a control city.
Took part in the 2nd cross border run from Gretna to Carlisle, it was a very hot one indeed . Thanks to Rob Westgarth for asking me to run for the Carlisle Audi team and also Julie Tiffen who made up our 3 man/woman team.
A great effort from everyone today..

TEXAS GUN BOATS
After the shooting at Lake Falcon by
members of the Mexican drug cartel, Texas will no longer rely on the Federal Govt to protect is citizens. Six of these boats have been put into service along the border by the Texas Dept. of Public Safety.
