This photo of my Wife and Son it was taken on My Nikon D7000 and 18 - 105 VR lens. The original photo was all in colour and I used Adobe Photoshop CS3 to remove most of the colour and add the scottish flag to the shadow cast on the rock.......I really like this image open to any thoughts.....
This is the precise border between Ghana and Burkina Faso, in the half-mile stretch between the countries' border posts. I walked it, pulling my suitcase behind me, because I was fed up with hassles from the taxi drivers who swarmed me. Also, I thought it would be fun to walk from one country to another. This was my first indication of how poor Burkina is: Look at the difference in pavement. And look at their rusted sign!
Don't think the employees were in any kind of partying mood, however.

I often wonder what people did to get through a boring day at work in the not-so-distant past when the internet wasn't so common-place. Likewise, what did people do to pass time in a mall when Borders was not yet around?
The day felt very bland. Not that company wasn't good, in fact it was great. But the cold and the seemingly impenetrable fog did not do my mood any favours. So I was glad to see, upon reviewing the day's images, punchy reds to punctuate the neutral.

Joining National Guard Soldiers and Airmen, active-component Soldiers with the 66th Military Police Company, based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington., exit a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft at Biggs Army Airfield, El Paso, Texas, as they deploy to the southern border in support of U.S. Northern Command, Jan. 25, 2025. U.S. Northern Command is working together with the Department of Homeland Security to augment U.S. Customs and Border Protection along the southern border with additional military forces. On 4 February, Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao inaugurated the first Integrated Border Post (IBP) at Batugade, Bobonaro District. President Ramos-Horta, Minister of Finance Pires, Minister for Tourism and Industry Alves, the Indonesian Ambassador to Timor-Leste, and UNMIT SRSG Haq and UN Police Commissioner Carrilho attended, amongst others. The facility supports the legitimate cross border movement of people and goods for tourism, commercial and community links. The IBP consists of several border control agencies, including immigration, customs, quarantine, border police, agriculture, foreign affairs and transport. Il Wahga Border è il confine Pakistan/India dove ogni sera durante l'ammaina bandiera che si tiene nella zona franca tra due cancelli, i due stati in continua lotta, si sfidano e danno spettacolo con quella che ormai è diventata una parata con tifosi, animatori e guardie scelte. I soldati chr portano barba o baffi hanno un aumento sul salario mensile per il mantenimanto della stessa. In questo set, ho cercato di creare un percorso, iniziando dalla strada per arrivare a Wahga, passando per gli animatori, i canti (Lunga vita al Pakistan PAKISTAN ZINDABA +o-), fino ad arrivare al momento in cui le bandiere si incrociano.
Took part in the 2nd cross border run from Gretna to Carlisle, it was a very hot one indeed . Thanks to Rob Westgarth for asking me to run for the Carlisle Audi team and also Julie Tiffen who made up our 3 man/woman team.
