Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and we all need vitamins. So why not an orange, egg and lemon mix to boost our vitamins intake. And since I have a very busy day ahead (with some major laundry folding, vacuuming and a 10km run) I will need the extra energy and motivation for sure!!

I have no idea what this plant is but tucked into the bushes, the reddish leaves caught my attention. In this HSS edit, I've emphasized the shadowy branches I was shooting through and boosted a few sliders in LR to deepen the colors! Hope everyone has a Happy Sliders Sunday!
First time I have seen, or photographed one of these, UKs most threatened butterfly. The male is on the left.
I decided to take a drive down to south Devon to camp for several nights, with the specific intention of spending a day on Aish Tor to see HBFs. So I spent 8 hours on Sunday on Aish Tor. It was exceedingly hard work, once I got up onto the hillside, having parked in my ignorance of the location, at Newbridge car park down on the River Dart; it was sultry and very hot and the butterflies had twin turbo boost full on: they simply never seemed to stop moving. Added to that, there were ticks everywhere in the sea of metre high bracken that covered the hillside, so long sleeves and trousers tucked into socks was de rigeur and made it even less comfortable!
Having spent much of the the morning, tagging along with a lady who had been before and seemed to know the best location, I branched off alone to search higher up the slopes where fritillaries seemed more frequent. It was 3 hours altogether before I had one settled on bramble flower in a less than ideal location, low down in a corner of a small area cleared of bracken. In mid afternoon another one showed up to investigate dog poo on the path where I was resting. Not long after that I had another male nectaring on bramble, but it was tight to photograph in a narrow path trodden through the bracken. Late in the afternoon I was shown these two mating specimens by a couple I spoke to, which probably saved the day!

Four guys jumped into the seawater while the sun was setting on a Saturday evening.
Most likely they wanted to boost their energy to start a fresh working week.
I took this yesterday on my neighborhood walk. I boosted it with the Chrome option on my phone for Sliders Sunday - HSS!

January always feels like a good time for a bit of a detox... especially after all the holiday food.
I spotted this Red-Tailed hawk on a tree branch, concentrated on its prey moving in the grass at the edge of an irrigation canal. Hawks usually fly away when they spot someone from far away. This time the prey seemed to have mesmerized the hawk. That gave me time to close in and hide behind the next tree’s trunk when the hawk decided to strike, disapearing in the tall and dense grass. I layed down low and waited for movement. He finally showed up with whatever was left of a vole or mole.

A part of a shop window covered with semi transparent, adhesive, white plastic before painting the facade. I just can't explain the yellow, green and blue shapes. The broad Depth of Field makes it very dreamy.
Today's image was taken in the Abbey Fields park in Kenilworth, just near to Kenilworth Castle. The view is looking out across the lake with the trees of the park reflecting in it.
The photo was taken using the app VividHDR on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped and straightened the image, then applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I decreased the highlights and then boosted the saturation, contrast and ambiance. Next I used the app Painteresque to apply a custom version of the Painteresque 2 preset. After this I used the app Stackables to add the Twilight II formula. Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply the Backlit preset, the Vibrant FX and a medium dark vignette. I then added the Stucco texture and the Shadow II frame.

There are a lot of Blythes to name here! They are Tsumori Spirit, Cadence Majorette, Yellow Marshmallow (Middie), Cream Cheese and Jam, Fighting Milk Saranghae, and Cool Pool Lemonade (Middie). The background is a poster. I found the elephant at the antique mall. For “Confidence Boost” and Animal Kingdom”.
Did some homemade ginger shots with turmeric, citrus fruits, orange and honey yesterday. Best way to kick off the day with whatever time of year it is.

Seemingly random phrases stencilled into the rusty metal facade of the Wave apartment building on Gilles Street in the city.
The vitamin boost doesn't just apply to grapes and tomatoes. Photography often gives me a positive boost (and sometimes a bit frustation when things don't work out well). So now I'm curious what gives you positve energy?

At first my idea was taking a photo of Noraa herself, but Blue decided to participate today and I think it turned out better than what I was expecting. Things are always better with cats.
Noraa wears a costume that belongs to Supergirl Barbie Collector Silver Label from 2008.
Blythe a Day. January 2026. Day 30.
Day started early in Sangkhla Buri for most people in town, as Monk procession was planned that day.
The believers line up in the route early with baskets of food and gifts prepared for the occasion. The monks proceed at the daybreak to give blessing to each. By 6:30AM is was over and all breakfast joints were filled to capacity and many of the shops were open for business. By 9-9:30AM the town was however deserted, as the heat forces everyone inside, only to come alive in the late afternoon for few hours. Sangkhla Buri is also known for the longest wooden bridge in Thailand, but the monk procession was probably needed to give extra boost to the economy. It benefits everyone (restaurants, guesthouses, clothing stores), but also the poorest in the community as the monks give most of the goods to them.
