This is my newest picture for the 365 project and the new theme "Bokeh".
Again a very busy day, but enough time for a bokeh selfie.
Shot with my Nikon D200, processed in Aperture using Silver Efex Pro 2 and a Agfa 400 ISO film development.
The Union gunboats approached up the Cumberland River, exposing them to the Confederate siege guns for a long time.
Because of a dam downstream, this is now Lake Barkley. At the time of the battle in February 1862, high water would have raised the river above its normal levels, but not as high as the current reservoir.
tiger lillies all over the palce, but i saw this opportunity and i really like the effect....this is in my side yard

The Red-breasted Nuthatches have moved into the garden bird feeders & the White-breasted Nuthatches have disappeared from the yard. The Red-breasted Nuthatches are curious and do not seem to mind me approaching the feeders to refill them. They have come to the birdbaths while I was filling them with fresh water, passed by me close enough to touch my arm, and watch me from the trees.
Lovely little plant growing from a tree. I enjoyed the light behind it and decided to photograph it. I got some nice bokeh in the background as well. Plants are almost my favorite thing to photograph(: I also used the technique "free- lensing" for this shot.
