March 22, 2013 For DPS assignment. This poor lonely half frozen weed was shot in front of the lake. The wind was blowing enough so that I was able to catch the bokeh off of the water reflections.

Just learned how to do C-41 at home with the CineStill kit. Got through 3 rolls of my back-log so far.
Testing the bokeh of the Fuji XF 60mm Macro, shot at f/2.8, not quite wide open. I would rate it as superior.
This is a large pile of shiny balls. It's public art by a freeway. People either love it or hate it.

I try to shoot it now and again in some novel way. This was midpoint on a long run yesterday. (Long for me lately... apparently I am getting old and also I have less time available for heroic runs) 10 miles. 16 km. I am paying for it today.
One of the pitfalls of running in summer is dog poop on the paths. As I came up this hill I thought the balls looked like a pile of something I should not step in. So I stopped and shot it.

This was a quick snap through the curtains of a huge chandelier hanged from the ceiling and around this stairs, which got me a picture with bokeh in foreground. Taken from the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas.
