This is the resident Heron at the hotel we stayed at in Hilton Head SC. The fountain in the background made for a great effect.
this is for a good friend of mine going through a very hard time right now...i hope she finds the strength and power inside her to keep going...
this is a picture of a friend's christmas tree. i turned my lens to manual focus to get this blurry effect - bokeh. scott (my partner in crime, not kelby whom i've referred to previously) told me recently that the shape of the brokeh parts of the image differ depending on the type of lens that's used, AND that you can customize the brokeh using paper cut-outs. i am definitely going to try this over the holidays!

We we're playing in the Girl's room, and we put up some Christmas light for the "house" we made. I thought the bokeh was beautiful.
First submission! Yey!
I was at a red light stop yesterday afternoon on my way home. It was raining. I thought the truck's brake light that was in front of me would make a cool bokeh against the rain on my windshield. And presto!
Happy Bokeh Wednesday everyone. Sorry I haven't been around much again lately. I have parent teacher conferences this week. I was at school until 8pm on Tuesday night and tomorrow I will be at school until the same time. Between conferences and other obligations I haven't had much time for Flickr lately. I haven't even had time to edit or upload any photos lately let alone go through your photostreams to comment. I promise I'll be around more this weekend and I'll take some time to comment. I appreciate all of your comments lately and they will not be forgotten!!! HBW!!!
