The reflections of the past can be sad and even scary at times. That’s why we are able to mourn, grow and become stronger through those that have gone on before us. As the dragonfly, Some.. don’t live as long as they should. I now add my dear Uncle Bill to the list that has passed this week. You are loved and will be missed. I picked this photo (nothing spectacular,just a thought) because of the reflection we all make in times like this. Reflect, remember.

Description: Auburn students and their professor spent a month in Malawi working along side local lab technicians at Blessings Hospital in Lumbadzi.
I was given a shawl and sandlewood, which is a great honor. Here I am praying a blessing on one of the men of the city on my last night in Ramanathapuram.
benditas reliquias del Buda Sakyamuni, Milarepa y muchos grandes Maestros del Budismo, visitan Buenos Aires, en el marco de una gira mundial: the Maitreya Project. Esta maravillosa conexión ha estado en muchos países, en cárceles y escuelas y ahora se exhibe en Buenos Aires hasta el martes 5 de mayo. No hay que olvidar el hecho de que estas reliquias en el caso de las más antiguas, han estado conservadas en templos en la India o el Tibet por más de dos mil años y que el hecho de que personas "comunes" podamos acercarnos a ellas... esa sola idea cambia muchas cosas. El Dalai Lama concedió varias reliquias del Buda histórico Sakyamuni, para esta gira. Esta bendición se realiza con una de ellas. Yo la recibí dos veces y es deliciosa.

Blessing of the foundations of a new six floor apartment building in Chiang Mai Thailand by Brahmin priest. Buddhism exists side-by-side with, and to some extent intermingles with, pre-Buddhist animism and Brahman practices. Most Thais, whether or not they profess to be Buddhists, believe in a rich supernatural world. When ill, or at other times of crisis, or to seek supernatural help, Thais may enlist the aid of a practitioner who is believed to be able to propitiate or obtain help from various spirits. Local spirits are believed to inhabit a variety of objects, and shrines to them may be found in houses, businesses in Buddhist temples, along roads, and in forests. Blessing ceremonies to ward off evil spirits and bad luck are carried out both by Buddhist monks and Brahmins.

Red, White and oh so Blue~
As I look at my photos…this one just fit for tonight. Taken at the train station but having so many meanings wrapped up in a phrase on that door. Those that know me know that I am know waiting for the safe return of my love. The countdown has begun and is long but time does not stop. We keep standing at that station, listening for ring of Joy. My hugs and kisses to my love. I will be waiting right here for when I see you again.
