This is on the very bottom of a bleeding heart.

It really looked like this rainbow was bleeding light. Back in my younger days, when we would stay up all night partying and watch the sun rise, I would say that we kicked the darkness until it bled daylight.

This is just one more cool thing about the Arizona Monsoon season, TONS of rainbows. I've probably seen more rainbows in two weeks here than I've seen my whole life. This was the best of the bunch. I shot it for about 30 minutes then went to get some long exposure lightning shots about 10 miles down the road and from there I could see the other side of this one. It lasted till the last bit of light was gone. And I discovered that I could make it completely disappear with my polarizer.

I'd rather climb to heaven on a broken rung

than breathe like a young man

with one good lung

I want to sing what's never been sung

I want to speak what's never been said

I want to feed my heart to my naked head

so I'll finally start bleeding again

First posted in Guess Where London. It's a cobbled courtyard just off Greville Street, near Farringdon on the edge of the City of London. The story of it being the scene of the murder of Lady Hatton (whose family owned much of this area, including nearby Hatton Gardens) during the Restoration period is probably an urban myth.

I had a nose bleed [they occur quite often] and here's the end result. I took this after my nose stopped bleeding but the blood is mixed with water because I stupidly turned the tap on. It's the reason why it looks so diluted.

After messing around for quite awhile trying to get a tiny bug in focus, I was wishing I'd brought knee pads for this expedition... These are Pacific Bleeding Hearts, a wildflower that's similar to the cultivated variety except smaller and obviously a different color. I haven't seen this little bronze bug on any other flowers yet.

The one artificial light source was a 25 watt light with a rice paper shade. It was positioned to the left and slightly behind the plant making parts of the bleeding heart translucent.

Bleeding hearts, we should move Valentines day into March to time it with the flowering of this beautiful plant.

Very difficult to get the colour right on this capture. I'd recently painted the fences behind, and the bold terracotta colour is striking against the strong pinks of the hearts

This angel is located just at the entrance of the cemetery and is one of its most beautiful. It is a masculine creature with a delicate, feminine and romantic look.

I like the "bleeding heart" effect on the sculpture.

From the backyard. This plant is getting so huge it's overtaking the other plants around it.

This vine is in my neighbour's garden and it looks so beautiful at the moment. They have it growing over a frame and it is covered in gorgeous pink flowers.

On every floor at the end of the staircase there is small room, but this one is different.

Painted in a bright color of green, that has been touched by time. Somebody has added a tiny heart, the dripping paint makes it look like it is bleeding....
