up in those mountains! It was such a treat to see both these and the Golden-crowned Sparrows together in this mountain park. We were happily surprised that they'd pose out in the open like this with the bracing winds that were blowing up there.

These littel Ground Squirrels are so irresistible. Saw them for the first time this week while bird watching in Manitoba at the Oakhammock Marsh. Almost like a Prairie Dog but smaller and maybe even cuter.

A bit underexposed. I gave up on this picture immediately after I took it because it was F1.4 at about 1/20 or 1/10 of a second. I was certain there would be motion blur. Thankfully that isn't the case.

Towards the top of Ohio Pass in Colorado there was still a small bit of snow... The road was pretty beaten up also..
A little bit late as well.
But Lola is not only a stand-in for my project and picture of yesterday ( she is a part of me 2 in my opinion).
But also my only pet I have left.
At first I wanted to contribute Baloe with an old picture of her, because I still miss her every day, but life goes on and Lola is filling the gap Baloe left in my heart.
I love her very much, although she is already 7 years old, she acts like she is still a puppy.
