found feathers in a vintage pink vase (used to be my great-grandma's),
vintage figure of a girl at a sewing machine (i stole this from my mom i think),
otter and bunny finger puppets made locally,
new kids book "Zoe and the Fawn",
fawn and bird figures,
poem-on-a-mirror from my sister
and little pot painted by my great grand-ma
After having a the bulb in my ear last week, I thought I would do a bit of dissection this evening, to see the inner workings of the bulb.

To visit the Coyote Buttes South is to step into an otherworldly landscape of textures, shapes colours. A visual assault.

We had some snow, some rain and a little bit of sun and blue sky. Sorry - not enough superalatives to describe what millions of geology have done.
We toured the area with our guide, Dallas, from Paria Outfitters - superb, attentive and seemed to be having as much fun as us!

I go into hospital for my dupuytren's surgery tomorrow morning at 7am. So I am trying to get all my friends trip up before I have only one hand to work with. Then I will only have right hand to work with and I am left handed!

Lake Tekapo is the second-largest of three roughly parallel lakes running north–south along the northern edge of the Mackenzie Basin in the South Island of New Zealand (the others are Lake Pukaki and Lake Ohau). It covers an area of 83 square kilometres (32 sq mi), and is at an altitude of 700 metres (2,300 ft) above sea level.
The lake is fed at its northern end by the braided Godley River, which has its source in the Southern Alps to the north. The lake is a popular tourist destination, and several resort hotels are located at the township of Lake Tekapo at the lake's southern end. The Lake Tekapo Regional Park, administered by Environment Canterbury, is located on the southern shore of the lake.
An astronomical observatory is located at Mount John, which is to the north of the town, and south of the small Lake Alexandrina.

The little mouse scurries about, carrying on his mousie business. Observers would never suspect the dream he nurtures in his little rodent soul ~ until they follow him to his home under the unassuming mossy rock....
Carefully lift his rock and you will find that our mouse friend lays his head on his pillow every night with a sigh and dives deep into the sea.
The mouse is approx. 1" long and his home is 4" wide at the base.
