just wanted to make something pink

Especially for Australia Day celebrations...

This year, the garden is almost sorted. We're growing a lot of vegetables. Hopefully the slugs won't eat the lot.

A birthday picnic on a hot Saturday.

This is from a friend's recipe. It is a Sri Lankan dish and makes good use of the sweetness of the beetroot in this warm curry dish..

Halfway through the 'Big Al' burger which consists of a double serving of prime New Zealand beef (1/2lb), lashings of bacon, a whole lotta cheese, 2 eggs, beetroot, lettue, tomato, red onion, relish and a big wod of aioli. It costs $16NZD. Well worth it
