I made this cute little set of pajamas from the Oliver and S Bedtime Story Pajamas pattern in size 6-12 for my cousin's baby boy Caleb. The outfit is Kona Cotton Bahama Blue and Tomato, I put a little red ribbon in the back outside of the pants so they would know which side was which. I love the trim on these and the pants are just adorable, I can't wait until he is big enough to wear these!

Missing my budy, my son Vihaan (7 months), who's been to India for few days.
This pic has become so important to me in the wake of dastardly and cowardly attack on innocent children in #Peshawar #Pakistan on 16-12-2014. I can't imagine the pain the parents of those children are going through. I dedicate this pic to all those parents who lost their children in this cowardly attack by terrorists. May the children RIP.

So we're having a garage sale and I found all my old stuffed animals and books. Needless to say, I was hit by powerful waves of nostalgia. :)
I decided to go back to the good old days and build a fort.

You see that huge bow? Yeah, I got that headband for a dollar at Hot Topic. I love sales. xD

My mother made up grand stories at bedtime and "Salt and Pepper" was my favorite. It was a story (made up out of her head spontaneously EACH night) about a salt and pepper shaker on Farmer and Mrs. Jone's kitchen table that learned, from the little old man in the sugar bowl, what the magic word was that could turn them into a little boy and girl.
At midnight each night they would go out and explore the world of magic.
I began telling these stories (making up my own sequels out of my head) to my four grandchildren that lived in St Louis and now live in Scotland (about a year or so ago). And so today... we had our very FIRST videocam storytime. Being 6 hours ahead of me, works so well since I am on call in the evening and am free during the daytime which is their bedtime. I took photos of the computer screen (not the best quality) as they sat there in Scotland, their candle lighted as I lighted mine here in Montana.
It makes a grandmother's heart burst with joy...... We had so much fun. There will be many more sessions I am sure.
