We started this trip on the East Coast of India and now we are on the West Coast. Quite an amazing feat given the size of India. I am teasing just a little bit because if one looks at the map we have crossed at one of the smallest points of the huge country.
This is Marari Beach on the Arabian Sea. The stretch of beach where I stayed is rather unremarkable, but very pleasant . The small beach cottage with a huge veranda was the selling point. The name of the property was A Beach Symphony and was made up of only five individual cottages.
A long Exposure of the Beach creates a stillness that is further enhanced with the Sepia Toning and visible film grain.
Just some rocks along the beach at El Capitan State Beach on the central California coast near Santa Barbara. Walking about 100 yards from the first beach access yields a very long stretch of beach with almost no one on it! Delightful .. the way a beach out to be.
One from the archives, from just after Sue died, when I wanted to celebrate our amazing life together by doing something that would have made her laugh. It was half inspired by that famous Jack Vettriano painting, but the wide expanses of the beach make you want to dance anyway. Demons Dance Alone is by The Residents, and for the last year it's been nearly all dancing alone. I can't wait till I can return to the dance floor more often.
Marloes beach is a stunning beach with beautiful rock formations and something for everyone to explore at low tide
Took this a few years ago and I've never posted it. Not sure why as it's one of my favorite images??
Uttakleiv Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches on the Lofoten Islands. The rocky shoreline on the left side of the beach provides fantastic views for those who appreciate surf and boulders. However, it can be dangerous during the winter due to ice, slippery rocks, and heavy surf. I used ice cleats to navigate the rocks safely and remained on the lookout for sudden waves that could catch me off guard, while I was focused on my camera.
Boulders Beach
is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated.
It is located in the Cape Peninsula, near Simon's Town towards Cape Point, near Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
It is also commonly known as Boulders Bay.
It is a popular tourist stop because of a colony of African penguins which settled there in 1982.
Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National
Park.

I was so engrossed by the interesting things to shoot on the sand, I nearly missed this! In all the years I have been coming here, I never seen a ship head into the Port of Monroe, so it is an unusual sight.
Tides out at Barmouth, having crossed the gap by ferry now walking on the beach towards the viaduct on the way back to the car at Mawddach Station.

Only accessed through a rain forest walk, we had not visited this beach before. A secluded beach with some great rock stacks. Awesome.
Hallidays Point, New South Wales, Australia
Short Beach is an excellent place to search for wave tumbled agates and jasper. Search the large gravel beds during low tide, especially after a storm. Once polished, the better quality rocks are considered to be semi-precious gemstones.

The beach and area is beautiful, but be extremely careful around the monkeys. , I read up on the island and found monkey bites are so common. The main problem is tourists feeding the monkeys. Knowing what I know now, I would’ve stayed in the water and watched from afar or stayed on the boat because I too was attacked by a mother monkey . The monkeys are unpredictable and far too comfortable with humans and aggressive due to being fed. If you do get bit Phi Phi hospital is excellent at administering immunoglobulin shots into the wound and then the first of 5 rabies shots. Be careful
