One from the archives, from just after Sue died, when I wanted to celebrate our amazing life together by doing something that would have made her laugh. It was half inspired by that famous Jack Vettriano painting, but the wide expanses of the beach make you want to dance anyway. Demons Dance Alone is by The Residents, and for the last year it's been nearly all dancing alone. I can't wait till I can return to the dance floor more often.
Camel Beach, located in the city of Santander next to the La Magdalena Peninsula, owes its name to the rock seen in the photograph whose shape is reminiscent of a sitting camel. It is crowned by a sculpture of Neptune as a child that was placed in 1979 to commemorate the International Year of the Child.
Marloes beach is a stunning beach with beautiful rock formations and something for everyone to explore at low tide
Took this a few years ago and I've never posted it. Not sure why as it's one of my favorite images??
The beach at Tettegouche State Park was all pebbles that are washed smooth by the lake, making them perfect for skipping. Mike had some fun with them for a while!
Boulders Beach
is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated.
It is located in the Cape Peninsula, near Simon's Town towards Cape Point, near Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
It is also commonly known as Boulders Bay.
It is a popular tourist stop because of a colony of African penguins which settled there in 1982.
Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National
Park.

I was so engrossed by the interesting things to shoot on the sand, I nearly missed this! In all the years I have been coming here, I never seen a ship head into the Port of Monroe, so it is an unusual sight.
Short Beach is an excellent place to search for wave tumbled agates and jasper. Search the large gravel beds during low tide, especially after a storm. Once polished, the better quality rocks are considered to be semi-precious gemstones.

I've recently bought a drone (DJI 4k mini) and I've been experimenting with it, as you do. The tech is extraordinary and for an entry level drone takes pretty good images. There was a strong breeze coming off the ocean when these images were taken and the drone managed just fine.

Back in March we visited what I can only describe as one of the best beaches I've ever seen, Porthcurno Beach in Cornwall
