Imagine you are on a dream beach in the summer and have it alone for you...

Reminiscent of the Caribbean, a manless sandy beach on the Isle of Harris, outer Hebrides.

I got to thinking how different all our beaches are along our little stretch of coast - no two are the same. They all have their own personalities to me.

I Googled “Central Coast beaches” and it described the area as a “peri-urban region lying on the Pacific Ocean in northern New South Wales…” peri-urban! That was a new one for me, but it actually fits perfectly. Our street has seen cows and cars, peacocks and posties, snakes and scooters. And I reckon it applies to our beaches as well.

We’ve got around 80 kilometres of coastline, dotted with 49 unique beaches. (I'm up to 47) My photos might make them all look remote and wild, but the variety is pretty amazing; from toddler-safe, fully serviced spots, to dog-friendly stretches, to hidden little beaches reached by obscure trails (my personal favourites, of course). It’s like a beach smorgasbord that I have a "as much as you can eat" lifetime pass to. Unlimited sand-whiches ;) I feel very lucky to have it all on the doorstep.

This photo is a slightly different take on what I know as Bateau Bay Beach, albiet a bit of a scramble from the main beach. The only other reference I’ve found is on Google Maps, where it’s called Coloured Stone Beach. Personally, I reckon Driftwood Beach would suit it just as well… maybe I should try and make that one stick, log my suggestion 😉

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone, and thanks as always for any visits and comments — always appreciated!

PS - I accidentally swallowed a bunch of synonyms today… now I’ve got thesaurus throat I’ve ever had.

Rushikonda Beach located in Visakhapatnam on the coast of Bay of Bengal in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The beach is maintained by the state tourism board and its one of the best beaches in the india!

Top 7 Beaches in Visakhapatnam are:

Rushikonda Beach. Yarada Beach. Ram Krishna Beach. Bheemili Beach.

Sango Beach is in the extreme N-W corner of Scotland. A very nice beach with great rocks and sometimes big waves. The tide was not with us, but we have fun!

Thank you in advance for your interest and comments on my photos. That is much appreciated.

Please view at the pixel size of 1600. It's also more pleasure for you. (I hope so)
