"At the beach, life is different. Time doesn’t move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun."

Quote — Sandy Gingras

That day the weather was grey, so I thought I try to brighten it up. Happy Sliders Sunday ;-))

跟妳說好在這裡相見。從此這門一直為你打開。日復一日,年復一年,美麗的日落看了無數,就是不見你到來。

No matter how beautiful the sunset is, It can not fulfill all the broken promises.

A good weekend to all! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

Biarritz lies on the Bay of Biscay, on the Atlantic coast, in southwestern France. Unlike any other part of France. The region has its own language, cultural landscape, architecture, and culinary traditions. The land here is breathtakingly distinctive— with the turquoise blue waters, wild coastline, and rugged foothills of the Pyrenees

Uttakleiv Beach which is home to some amazing rock formations and mountain backdrops making compositions just endless here. Having got my shot of the Dragons eye I moved on to explore a little more of the beach. A snowstorm came right our way, so we took shelter under a huge rock for about 40 mins or so until it passed.

The turquoise waters on these artic beaches are just incredible, that with the dark rocks and snow topped mountains just makes for an amazing scene to shoot

The big seas at this beach have made some rare water action on the sand. This one going parallel with the beach and creating some interesting ripple textures. Bournda Beach in the Bournda National Park on the Far South Coast of NSW

“A beach is not only a sweep of sand, but shells of sea creatures, the sea glass, the seaweed, the incongruous objects washed up by the ocean.”

Great Egret

Seems to be waiting for something to happen while standing in the early morning light streaming over the ocean and sand.

From the National Park Service:

Second only to the Great Blue Heron in size, the Great Egret (Casmerodius albus), sometimes called the Great White Egret, is one of the largest of the wading birds that inhabit the Everglades. Standing over 4 feet in height with a wingspan of more than 50 inches, it is similar in appearance to the Snowy Egret but can be distinguished by its long black legs, black feet, stout yellow bill, and tremendous size. The Snowy Egret is smaller than the Great Egret and has a black bill and yellow feet.

Although numbers of Great Egrets have recovered throughout most of the United States in response to conservation measures, numbers have declined in some parts of the southern United States because of habitat loss. Data indicate that the Florida Everglades has undergone a 90-percent reduction in the number of breeding pairs of wading birds.

The photo is from our last trip to Cuba. Ensenachos beach is one of the best Cuban beaches and famous for its white sand through the perfect bottom of the sea. The photo taken day before hurricane Sandy hit the island. This was quiet unfortunate for our trip as the four days in the row we had the rain and these beautiful beaches were closed :(

Just a part of the beach.

Standing on the fresh pastures at Highfield provides the best view of Stanley. Here we can see how The Nut at 143 metres high protects the town from the prevailing weather conditions and high seas of Bass Strait. In the distance at the far left is Table Cape (also an extinct volcano). On the right is the town's water supply. At the centre of everything (especially in the warm summer months) Stanley's magnificent beach draws holiday makers to swell the permanent population of 550.

In this dull time of the year I thought I would repost this picture of my son Joe taken way back in 2014 ( omg where does the time go ) enjoying the sun and surf on Fistral beach in beautiful Cornwall , spring and summer will soon be here :)
