Here I used the doily paper and laid it over white cardstock. I used a JB Malted Milk paint dauber and dabbed it over the doily to create the background. The black letters looked a bit stark to me, so I softened them by adding some zig zag stitching over the top.

I made a second clear card using left overs and basically the same material as in the first one. It is also for the Hero Arts December challenge (sketch theme). The acetate was embossed with a snowflake folder. The remaining piece of embossed aluminum tape was painted first blue, then sanded and then painted white and sanded again. Finally it was sponged with black Distress Ink and clear embossed (one of Tim’s techniques during 12 tags of Christmas). The trees and the sentiment were stamped with Jenni Bowlin Weather Wane. TFL!!

When I was gearing up for LOAD this time around, I wasn't sure I was up for scrapping my own stories. I find it difficult to tell meaningful stories at a rate of a LO a day, so this time around, I asked some friends to provide me with photos and journalling. This is my first such page this month... this lovely girl is the daughter of Nathalie (famille1999).
Supplies: all BasicGrey papers, except for the 7Gypsies ledger paper for the journalling + 7Gypsies photo anchor + Making Memories brad and staples + Fancy Pants transparency + Martha Steward butterfly punch + Stampin' Up! spiral notebook edge punch + ColorBox ink pads
Thanks for looking! :)
Using Moda's Origins line of fabric. Completed May 2011. Backed with Botany Vine Brambles in Bark and some Morris Garden from Moda in a mustard color. Couch throw.
I used Distress Ink to shade the snowman and then to stamp the snowflakes. I fussy cut the snowman and the scarf. I'm thinking about adding some glossy accents to the scarf and carrot nose.
This is my second entry for Gallery Idol. For this card I stamped the balloon and sentiment on vellum. Next I adhered sequins behind the balloon only. I then adhered the vellum to a piece of patterned paper. TFL!

In love with this BasicGrey line! about 43x60
I loved this quilt by Emily mleknits.blogspot.com/2012/03/far-far-away-iii-patchwork-... and had to use her pattern
This card was inspired by Kelly who was Monday's Win-a-day. I loved her masculine owl card so much that I realized I really needed more masculine cards in my stock. It is a pretty simple card, but the BasicGrey pattern papers helped give it punch.
This card is for Card Patternssketch #113 and for Hero Arts May challenge (colored pencil and flower themes). I flipped the sketch around to fit the card better. I needed a welcome baby card and liked the idea of using the village stamp as a background, it was stamped with Versamagic chalk ink. The lace flowers were white embossed on woodgrain patterned paper (light beige with a hint of pink). I used my coloured pencils to softly colour the flowers pink. The focal panel was stamped with a woodgrain stamp and the children were stamped on top with Brilliance Beige ink. TFL!!
Supplies: Hero Arts stamps: Musical Walk (F5468), A Village (S5432), Woodgrain Pattern (S5100), Lace Background (S5341), Basic Lowercase Letters (LL188); BasicGrey Life of the Party patterned paper; Prima flowers; lace; Panduro velvet hearts; Versamagic Pink Petunia ink; Brilliance Beige ink; Derwent pencils; DMC floss.
yay! The fabrics arrived today & are in the washer getting their pre-wash!! Then it's off to sew them up!! How do you feel about robins egg aqua cotton & basicgreys hello luscious prints with rickrack (red or pink), partner?

Basic Grey's Jovial for Moda & Moda Grunge solids ... won in a summer giveaway ... now being put to some use!
Pattern by Serendipity Studios. Made with Chambray by Robert Kaufman Fabrics. I finished the seams inside with bias strips from Basic grey's Figgy Pudding for Moda. Blogged @ www.corinneas-chaos.blogspot.com
Papers: Melissa Frances, Basicgrey and C Crickett. Flower is paper pieced and covered with glass shards.
eta - the glass shards come in a container like glitter and it comes in lots of different colors. On this card it looks like I put the flower in the freezer for a while! LOL. It's pretty IRL.

charm swappers, which do you prefer? i picked up both, because i'm doing a fq swap at a guild meeting as well, but since the charm swap is first, you guys get first choice!
the fabric on the left is basic grey/jovial for Moda and the fabric on the right is by Have a Sheri Berry Holiday by Sheri Berry for Lyndhurst Studio.
the Moda is a bit creamier in person, and the Sheri Berry is a bit more aqua or minty. also, the Sheri Berry matches one of the fabrics that's already been posted in the group.
