Silver Falls State Park, Oregon
I'd been wanting to visit this park since my last time in Oregon, and despite sun problems that day (and crowds by the end of the AM), it was definitely worth the visit. Amazing park!
Warwickshire based Polish airmen who lost their lives while serving with the RAF during the Second World War have been remembered.
On Sunday 6th November, members of the Polish Ex-Combatants Association were joined by representatives of other local Ex-service Associations and Air Cadet drummers from the band of 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron who led the procession for a Remembrance Service at the St John the Baptist Cemetery, Baginton near Coventry Airport. The Service was held to remember the valour of the Polish Airman who lost their lives whilst serving with the RAF in the area during the Second World War.

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii - July 17, 2012) - U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Tom McNurlin from the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Test Center in Tucson, Ariz., helps U.S. Air Force Col. John Breazeale, 917th Fighter Group commander, adjust his helmet with the Scorpion helmet-mounted system prior to a flight during Rim of the Pacific exercise July 17,2012. The Scorpion system, along with the Lightweight Airborne Recovery System, known as LARS, was operationally tested for the first time during the exercise. Twenty-two nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating are participating in the biennial RIMPAC exercise from June 29 to Aug. 3, in and around the Hawaiian Islands. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. I can type a whole story about some strange weather that day and no mobilephone connection around this lost Russian (sorry...Soviet) millitary base, but I keep it short:
Most interesting place I've ever visited in and around Berlin/Brandenburg!!!
Totally lost it...
Before I forget to mention it: next to a millitary base, it was also a complete Soviet village and (most of all) a top secret nuclear missile storage facility and launching site.
Maybe that's the reason my GPS went completely bezerk that day...

- This former Soviet ground is HUGE!

Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Commander Col. Mike Henderson delivered remarks to 45 community, civic and other local area leaders of the Washington Waterfront Association during the JBM-HH annual Community Breakfast at the Fort McNair portion of the joint base Sept. 10, 2015. In his remarks, Henderson provided an overview of the joint base's mission and current projects, such as the addition of a fire station at Fort McNair and the construction of a new water pumping stations just outside Fort Myer's Wright Gate. He also thanked key members and local businesses for support of JBM-HH-based service members and their families. This photo was taken during the ceiling and auditorium restoration project at the 7th Street Theatre in Hoquiam, Washington. EverGreene Architectural Arts was the contractor for this project, and they have done an amazing job. The 7th Street Theatre was built in 1928 and is an atmospheric theatre built in the style of John Eberson.
