we were fortunate enough to know a member of the RAAF ..he was a mechanic that worked on these magnificent F111's....he gave us a tour of Amberley RAAF Base.....we even got to climb up to the cockpit...no photos allowed of the inside though!
Two Iraqi Mi-17 Hip Helicopters conduct an aeromedical evacuation mission from the Air Force Theater Hospital Patient Administration and Disposition area at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Dec. 20. Three Iraqi patients were aeromedically transported from Balad to the 86th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad and returned from there to their homes. The Alaska National Guard Warrior and Family Services Family Holiday Party offered a variety of activities and spread holiday cheer around the National Guard armory on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Dec. 13. The event included Hard Rock Café’s cookies and photo shoot with Alaska Iditarod musher Rick Casillo, loveable sled dog puppies from Battle Dawgs Racing, ice cream sundaes from Tastee Freeze, and plenty of activities for family members to stay entertained while waiting to meet and have their photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
