Bar Tailed Godwits having lunch at low tide at Mill Beach on the River Blackwater Estuary near Heybridge Basin in the County of Essex (UK).

The River Blackwater Estuary area is a beautiful part of the world just ten miles or so from my inland home.

Little Underbank, Stockports oldest pub. it was first mentioned in 1794 and I believe the licence came from the Royal Oak when it was pulled down the same year.

My friend's bar was much darker in reality, but with the evening setting on a canon, I just set it on the bar to wait for exposure and ended up with this warm gold tone.

California Highway Patrol's Westminster's Office is home to one of the last 2009 Ford Crown Victoria's with the Federal Signal Vision light bar. Along with the coolness of the lightbar the cruiser only has a total of 55,000 miles, making it the lowest mileage Crown Victoria in the fleet. You'd think this thing would have a quarter of a million miles!!! From what the Officers told me (which there are several stories) the car has low miles because it belonged to some specific officer and a certain line of work, not patrol. The other factor that I have been told is that it's Vision bar brings a lot of drag to the already "slower CVPI". Meaning that most Officers wanted to take the newer CVPI's with the Whelen Liberty's and newer cruisers, Chargers, Explorers, etc.

For my 30th birthday my wife took me on a wonderful trip to the fantastic city of Barcelona. The whole few days were amazing, with scorching weather & incredibly tasty food.

It was a great experience just wandering around the warren of cobbled streets in the Gothic Quarter & taking in all of the jaw dropping architecture.

Series of five. Catching up with last week's pics. Lovely to see three BT Godwits. Not a bird that I usually see around here. Not a nice spot to stand as there were hundreds of tiny bugs flying around in clouds.

... because the bar is closed, perhaps?

INGREDIENTS

1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated sugar cookies

1 cup chopped shelled pistachio nuts

1 cup coconut

1 1/2 cups Hershey's® premier white baking chips

1 can (14 oz) Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)

1/2 cup Key lime juice, fresh lime juice or thawed frozen limeade concentrate

3 egg yolks

1 teaspoon CRISCO® Pure Vegetable Oil

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9-inch pan. In large bowl, break up cookie dough. Stir or knead in pistachio nuts and coconut until well blended. With floured fingers, press dough mixture evenly in bottom of pan to form crust. Sprinkle 1 cup of the white baking chips over dough; press lightly into dough.

2. Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until light golden brown. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat condensed milk, lime juice and egg yolks until well blended. Pour milk mixture evenly over crust.

3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer or until filling is set.

4. In small microwavable bowl, place remaining 1/2 cup white baking chips and the oil. Microwave on High 45 seconds. Stir until smooth; if necessary, microwave 15 seconds longer. Drizzle over warm bars. Cool 1 hour. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows. Cover and refrigerate any remaining bars.

TeePee Bar & Cafe, Bowie, AZ. The best looking bar I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The inside was great. It was very cramped, with a single pool table and currency from all over the world lacquered to the wall. As you can see, you could also buy a fish dinner for $4.00. How can you beat that?

I took this photo with a Polaroid camera I bought off a crack head in Tucson. I miss that camera!
