Anytime you've lived in a city for a few years, you'll wind up having negative associations with a few places.
This isn't an odd scene in Spain, but this is as far from a city-centre pub at 10:30pm as it gets.
As an aside, this is one of my favourite bars in Oviedo, the chorizo buns go well with the Cosechero and the decoration has a grimy charm.

The Sazerac Bar is a historic and elegant bar in the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. It is named after the Sazerac, which is considered to be the world’s first mixed cocktail and the official cocktail of New Orleans. The Sazerac Bar was originally located in a different building, where it was frequented by celebrities, politicians, and musicians, such as Huey Long, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra. The bar moved to its current location in 1949, and underwent a major renovation in 2009. The bar features art deco style, murals by Paul Ninas, and a bullet hole in the wall from one of Huey Long’s bodyguards. The bar is famous for serving the Sazerac, as well as the Ramos Gin Fizz, another classic New Orleans drink.
