Normandie Bake Shop Brooklyn founded over 42yrs ago. This family-owned bakery known for its strawberry shortcake & other traditional classics including Charlotte Russe moved to Monmouth County New Jersey but we had to photograph its shuttered #storefront admiring its vintage sign

After spending the night at the Bristlecone Pines National Forest (29° F), I made my way down to Death Valley (96° F) to see about the sunset on the Mesquite Sand Dunes.

Every time you visit the Dunes is a totally different experience. The possible comps out there are limitless, and you never know what you will find.

On this trip, I was fascinated with this particular patch of baked mud, and the shape of the sand dunes in the background.

I don't normally do a lot of black and white photos, but this just seems to really work well on this photo.

Platter of treats in window of a sweet little Belgian bake shop that specializes in cupcakes. If you are ever in the town of Ghent, be sure to check out Julie's House where everything is baked with love and served with joy. Yum!!
