You have to love that "g"! Bakery's gone, neon’s shot, but I'm happy this old ghost is still up on that roof. If you close your eyes and summon up some imagination, there's a ghost of a chance you can still get a whiff of baking bread. It's like the beckoning finger of the fragrant aroma rising from a pie cooling in the window in the old cartoons - it draws you right into the past of your childhood! You know what I mean, don't you?

Macro Mondays Hobby

I love to bake cookies. However, no one in my house likes cookies except for Oreos and Chocolate Chip.

At Christmas I get my cookie fix by baking 25-30 different recipes, some tried and true, some new. Then I give the cookies away to friends and family.

I still have not had my main oven fixed/replaced. The little table-top oven works just fine for baking scones - just took 3 loads for 12 scones!
