My Kodak Easyshare C643 is officially broken hency the lousy photo. The pie was so full of berries it blew the crust apart. Good thing I'm practicing a year early for next years Burnt Offerings cake and pie bake off.

I cut some leftover Asian marinated tofu into long pieces, baked it, and made it into sushi! Super delicious.

It's hot and fuzzy worms bake really fast.

But look how cute they are!

My 1st try with Peter Reinhart's French bread recipe from "The Bread Baker's Apprentice". I baked them on a pizza stone at 450F for 20 minutes until the inner temperature reached at 205F. The outside crust was crisp and crunchy, and the crumb was soft and moist, not tough or gummy at all like some of the store-bought French breads.

Followed the instructions from youtube: Bake for 2 minutes, do not preheat oven. My experience is that they just melted....still tasted ok...crispy and sweet. However needed a spoon to pick up.

Baked Ricotta Cheesecake

After successfully baking white bread today, we decided to take our cousin's suggestion and try the Pane Integrale recipe from the New York Times. This was the first time Pookie ever baked bread, and she took the wheel for this loaf. It has to rise overnight, but even so, isn't it beautiful?

I'm back to doing a weekly cupcake on the blog & my plan is to have that be the Friday post so Thursday mornings are cupcake baking time. Today I did a yummy pineapple cupcake topped with meringue.
