Whole Foods packs their brand in these square jars that work perfectly with that plastic bin to maximize the storage. I put my own labels on the lids, scraping off theirs where necessary.

I bought mine from here but don't you think what or dolphin crackers (albeit larger) would also be cute?

One of my many experiments. Another attempt at baking Chicken Drumsticks. This time, I did not use the usual marination ingredients like oyster sauce etc. Instead, I used Paprika, salt, pepper and sugar. Turned out pretty good. Even smell a little like KFC. :P

This is a new thing for me. It was a little tricky to track down a market with lavender in the spice aisle, but the scent when I opened this little jar made it SO worth it.
I need to look up some other recipes that use lavender. I'm quite curious to learn more about how its flavor works.

Rainy day, jogging session called off. It wasn't raining at my place, just drizzling a little. I didn't feel like running, yet when I don't run, I felt something amiss. The irony of life, the irony of me.
Was craving muffins this morning hence I popped by the cafe downstairs to check them out. I loved seeing their lovely domed-shaped muffin tops, look absolutely delicious! But today, I was told the muffins weren't here yet. Hence, I had nothing to eat for breakfast - a rarity indeed, considering how important breakfast is to me. The first thing I wake up and think of is - what to eat. Embarrasing, I know, but I can't help it.
In order to prevent further disappointment, I decided to make my own muffins! Used my favourite muffin recipe and oil in place of butter to make these. Can't wait to have them for breakfast tomorrow!
Somehow I still don't quite like the effect of the fluorescent light >.<

My wife challenged me to a bagel bake-off. It was a win-win situation in my opinion. Both sets side by side...tasting delicious!
These turned out much better than my previous attempt at bagels back in February. There's something to be said about fierce competition!
I based my recipe loosely on the one found at the fresh loaf: www.thefreshloaf.com/recipes/bagels..she still won't tell me where her recipe came from. :)
