ooooh, look pretty new bag! 8 months after getting my dslr, following the acquisition of [cough] 3 lenses and several filters I finally got a bag to keep it all in! Well technically my husband bought this for our wedding anniversary, 5 years on Friday, yay!
I used a dark denim for the exterior of the nappy bag and embroidered an oriental looking design on the front corner. The interior of the bag is made of a coordinating cotton fabric. The bag is very versatile. I've use it for both everyday errands to the store and library along with more formal outings such as nice dinners and even a wedding. It is Amy Butler inspired not just by using her pattern but in the casual/formal uses of one bag.

I always wanted to do a photo essay on the subject of street kids in kota kinabalu at its ironic that i only managed to get about it now when i was there for a day when i had five years previously to do so. These kids comprise of both locals and foreigners particularly those from the Philippines and Indonesia whose parents arrive here through both legal and illegal means. Most of then are without citizenships and thus are not entitled to education, health and social benefits that we enjoy, in other words they live in limbo from day to day. Yet if you meet them they are just like any other children with the innocence and joviality that only children can possess. Most follow their parents who are traders here or act individually to serve as bag carriers to the myriad people shopping for groceries at the Kota Kinabalu Market, exchanging services for a few cents of coins which will likely be used to supplement their parent's meager earnings to ensure that they survive the day with food and shelter if any are to be had. These photos tell their stories and we may have to look at ourselves and question who is entitled to be citizens and who are the foreigners, particularly in Sabah.

Travessa del parc natural de Montserrat des de Can Maçana, seguint el GR-172 pel vessant del Llobregat, al peu de les grans parets de la muntanya màgica. Des de la Foradada, cap als Frares Encantats, els Ecos, fins a Santa Cecília; i després per sota les parets de Sant Jeroni i dels Diables, els Flautats, fins al pla de la Trinitat, Sant Benet, Santa Anna i baixada al monestir.
A Santa Anna, el nostre company arqueòleg l’Albert Roig, ens ha parlat d’aquest indret on porta a cap treballs de recuperació, així com de la importància històrica de les ermites i dels ermitans. Malgrat el temps plujós hem gaudit a pler de Montserrat!
I splurge-bought an expensive bag one day...
Well, it was expensive for me for a little bag that I would probably never use but I hoped and I prayed and eventually there was a walimah (muslim wedding feast) that came up and I took it out.
It was very happy.
(Okay my Kipling bags are probably more expensive but I use them regularly and they last and are worth it...this bag which I have packed away ... yeah ... very worthwhile! hehehe)
