another kitchen SOOC shot. A plastic grocery bag instead of a paper bag. Curious about how the shadows would work with a transparent medium. Maybe side lighting would have made it more interesting.
anyway, another notch on the 365.

Our bean bag from Hackday 2007 has taken some damage this year. Somehow one morning in had bright discolored spots in it. Since then it has been a favorite hide out place for pigeons and squirrels.
Mecha glom pod! The largest bag in captivity?
This is a big bag. More about that in a minute. It's between oxblood and rust red, with gray trim and mustard gold and other threads - see the close-ups for decorative stitching. The gray "neck" is super sturdy, made of several quilted layers, and the body, while not lined, is made of heavy upholstery fabric. It zips shut at the top with a vintage ring-zipper.
It could hold your gym clothes or just all the stuff you feel you can't leave home without ... like your family? ha ha. If you are a plus-sizey person you might appreciate that it can keep up with you scale-wise. I personally don't appreciate it when I dwarf a bag. I can wear it on one shoulder, my model who is smaller can sling it across her chest, so check the strap measurements to see how it will work for you.
It measures 15 inches across the zippered top, and 22 inches long. The strap is 48 inches altogether, so it hangs about 24 from bag to peak. That doesn't account for the girth - the main body is super bulbous.
Mecha glompods do not breed well in captivity - there will never be another exactly like it.
Made from an old tablecloth and gingham - for Mrs Moen's Tablecloth challenge - details and more photos are on my blog
Made using pattern from Swoon Patterns and a print from the Denim Studio Collection from Art Gallery Fabrics.
I was asked to make a custom bag for a little girl locally who has to walk with a walker due to a condition called Transverse Myelitis. Her mother wanted a bag that would hang on Sadie's walker bar for her to put her books, toys and treasures in that wouldn't get in her way.
I am excited to say that I was able to come up with an original design that would also be great as a stroller bag!

A drawstring pouch combining crocheting, knitting and cotton print fabric. Felted bottom part. Decorated with hand embroidery.
This bag has a floral theme: blue and pink flowers growing in the bush and beside the path. It reminds me about a story of a young couple living in an old castle, trying to keep everything as original as they can.
This lovely handmade bag is stylish and good to our planet. The perfect combination! You will love wearing this bag over your shoulder or holding the sleek handles in your hand. Be sure to look inside to find numerous interior pockets as well as a coordinating market tote so you never have to leave home without one. Created with 100% bamboo fabric, a reclaimed upholstery sample, and recycled plastic bottle blend fabric.
