This bag has flowers and fresh air. It reminds me from the small garden my aunt used to have in her summer cottage. It had only few flowering bushes but all so well cared for!

The bottom of the bag is crocheted from estonian wool.
The middle part is knitted from estonian, finnish and italian wool.
The top is sewn from cotton fabrics.
The string is a i-cord string knitted from cotton yarn.
On Wednesday, January 23rd, Lt. Governor Matt Denn joined volunteers at a “Reception for Giving” to highlight the first statewide Sleeping Bag Drive launched earlier this month. The reception and press conference highlighted the Sleeping Bag Drive’s first distribution and a broad commitment to aiding homeless children throughout Delaware. The groups are working in conjunction with the Delaware Office of Volunteerism to support the Governor’s Week of Service.
Newark High School’s Jefferson Awards’ Students in Action team, partnering with the Governor’s Advisory Council for Exceptional Citizens (GACEC) have led the Sleeping Bag Drive, teaming with a wide array of partners representing state agencies, schools, businesses and individuals – all of whom are donating funds or sleeping bags, hosting drop-off sites or aiding with collection. The Sleeping Bag Drive continues through February 28th.
This bag was made for Logan for preschool. He had to take a lunch with him and I wanted to make him something fun and unique with lots of bold colors. I just made up the pattern as I went along.

This bag has impressions of lights and glass. I found it most interesting subject to examine with textiles! Admiring designer glass vases caused the inspiration for this little bag.

Bagger 258 is a bucket wheel excavator, or "schaufelradbagger," built by the heavy machinery company Lauchhammer. First put to use in East Germany in 1964, Bagger 258 was one of a series of such machines whose task was to assist in intensive mining operations.
This motorised excavator featured a total of 10 blades, cutting to a depth of 15m into the earth as it removed spoil from the layers of coal beneath. The buckets, each designed with a capacity of roughly 1,500m³, would also collect a thin layer of coal during the process. This was sifted mechanically and diverted to feed the machine's coal-burning engines.
With a length of 171.5m and reaching a height of 50m, the 3850-tonne Bagger 258 rather resembles a factory; although this factory was mounted onto tank-like tracks and able to move at a speed of six metres per minute. Bagger 258 was abandoned in 2002, for no better reason than that it had simply run out of things to dig. By this point the behemoth was showing its age, and the cost of dismantling it wasn't justified by the tired mechanisms on offer. Instead the area around Bagger 258 was replanted, and redeveloped as a solar park.
These days, Bagger 258 stands desolate in a field in Germany. Its blue paint job - now chipped and fading - had once earned it the nickname, "Blue Wonder."

Another bag in the beautiful corianderprint. Simple shape; it is more or less like the tapestry bag on www.flickr.com/photos/notyetthedodo/448385670/ - inner pocket of coriander fabric and a magnetic snap. It is lined with grey cotton, and the strap is the sooooft grey corduroy on the one side, coriander on the other. It came out nicely, and I so love the print - I think, the bag just shines with it!
I'll go by the shop today to see if I can buy a bit more - I want a corianderbag, too!!!
