A cropped teaser from the Single Speed Cyclocross World Championships in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Thanks Peter for the drum scanning and editing. Looks proper.
I bring the rain. Trust me. More in the next issue of COG Magazine, which sounds like it will be a good amount of film photography too. That doesn't sound half bad to me.
Side two showing the laptop pouch. Pouch is removeable, but also can be stuck in place by the velcro on the bottomm of the bag. If I decide to remove it for diaperbag usage, I'll have to purchase some velcro to stick down there to prevent my diapers and clothing from sticking. (Please excuse the 40wk pregnant belly in the shot. That'd be the huge orb in the foreground. :) )

In the spring, I made myself a bag from acrylic coated linen (and so it is more or less waterproof and therefore a popular one to use in wintertime!). It had photo transfers on it... they did not survive a trip to the washing machine. I took them off, and the bag was very plain indeed (bottom right). Only highlight was the Fassett-fabric inside... but no way was that enough.
So I added the most christmassy fabric, I have, as a front - Alexander Henry's map to Snowflake Lodge. And a bit of Amy Butler lacy print, a few ribbons in red and green - on the back the small Babushkas.
And suddenly - I have a new, colourful bag to wear all December! :-) Messy, funny, colorful and just what I needed to spice up the grey day.
new bag, a Medium Scaramanga Overlander customized with a Billingham shoulder Pad, a tenba messenger bag insert and a hidden magnetic catch.
I tend to go through bags every few years, because I'm usually loading them up with 40+ pounds of comics to haul off to some convention. The cheap plastic wheels are always the first thing to go and I have had to get rid of perfectly good bags just because the wheels are shredded and it's impossible to replace them - NEVER AGAIN!
I took the back trucks off my old Skateboard, Dennis, and remounted them on the bottom of my red convention bag, which is still in good shape, except for the wheels, which got destroyed last year on the road. Now, if the skateboard wheels get worn down (not likely!) they are easy to replace.
Another pro: the bag is higher off the ground which is easier for me (6'-3") to roll.
Cons: It won't stand up on its own anymore (but it does have a handle on the side, so I can set it down sideways) and also it probably weighs a bit more now.
Anyway - it's an experiment! If you see me in some place other than Santa Fe in the next couple of years, ask me how the Skate-Bag is working out!

This drivers bag left next to one of the giant driving wheels of 6029 certainly has some stories to tell! Seen at the 2015 "Festival of Steam", Thirlmere NSW.
Made this bag for a friend of mine... want one for myself!! She loved it! It's big enough to hold her SLR camera and a bunch of other stuff!

I first created this design as a bag for myself ages ago for a grocery bag. Then I switched to a more open design for the many other bags I use. My mom looked at my old, over-stretched and pilly original and asked if I could make her one with that pattern. She liked that it wasn’t so open, and thought that it would be perfect for shopping around New York City. I made one for her and one for my grandmother. This designed for a more springtime theme to it. I love the little flowers and matching edging!
I love this bag. I've used mine for three years now.
Available at my Etsy and Zibbet shops!
I bought doughnut holes and they came in this bag that may by used for "it's many alternate uses in the home." Um, sorry, I'm not sure I'll be reusing the greasy, sugary bag for anything else.
