I made this up as a sample for our new local quilt shop. It was made with the Amy Butler In-town Bags pattern. Fabric is from the new Woodstock line by Benartex.
This bag was made using Rae's Buttercup Bag Pattern. Like a lot of my fabrics, I rescued this tan canvas from the AS-IS bin at the local IKEA. I believe it was a pillow cover before I got my hands on it. I made the pipping myself, and decided to add a little variation to the pattern by using two straps instead of one. The flower is a little pin I made with the leftover fabric.
Sunday 13 January 3:51 pm. Black garbage bag mid-pavement in Kimberley Road. Nearby, at the corner of Mafeking Road, there's a dumped cardboard box (from a widescreen TV) .
A small but significant minority of residents seem to think it's perfectly okay to dump rubbish on the pavements. This applies equally to items like fridges and TVs which we collect for free. And even to the endless plastic rubbish bags and cardboard which are surely easier to drop into a wheelie bin in your front garden, than drag round the corner and dump against a neighbour's wall.

I made this bag for my cousin Lisa, it's about 20"x20". The straps are about 2 1/2" wide. As with the other two tote bags I've made, I didn't use a pattern.
For this one I wanted to use something larger than 5"x5" template squares. I took the glass out of a picture frame to use as the template for the big cat pieces on the front and back. Then just cut long pieces for the rest. I also remembered this time to sew in the tab closure (see other picture) before finishing the bag, that way you don't see the raw fabric ends of the tab.
I'm pretty proud of this for I designed the pattern of this bag as well as the print.
Can't wait to sew it up!

This is the front of the bag closed. My aunt asked for pockets on the gusset (both sides) and I was afraid to try piping PLUS the pockets, so I left the gusset piping out. It still works! In fact, I kind of like it this way. For my own bag, I will probably do it the normal way.

A drawstring pouch combining crocheting, knitting and cotton print fabric.
This bag was inspired by the royal wedding of princess Viktoria in Sweden. When I saw queen SIlvias dress, I just had to make a very flowery bag with soft colors. The bag has hydrangeas and raspberries and it reminds me of all the romantic moments seen in the wedding.
Height from the bottom edge to the top edge: appr. 12 inch.
The diameter of the bottom: appr. 5 inch.
Circumference: appr. 15 inch.
The bottom of the bag is crocheted from estonian and finnish wool.
The middle part is knitted from estonian and finnish wool.
The top is sewn from cotton fabrics.
The string is made from wool and has been felted for durability.

I’m a big Moschino fan and I couldn’t resist their new little Chinese worker prints :) For the first day of Milan Fashion-week I wore this stunning Moschino dress and paired it with my black Valentino stud shoes. I decided to wear no other than my rose sac du jour bag by YSL. They come in all shades of pink this season so if you’re a pink fan be sure to get yours now! :) It was quite an eye-catching outfit. I attended 2 openings, a cocktail and one show with this outfit from which you can see some pictures here as well.
