For those that were guessing, this is photo of banana leaf in my backyard on plant that is leafing out. When they first come out, they are rolled up. I held the flash below the leaf and shot the photo with macro setup down into the leaf with a narrow depth of field.
We are saying good-bye to our beautiful backyard bush. Hydrangeas (when eaten by puppies) cause stomach and bowel irritation and extreme vomiting!

Before we moved into our new house, my wife had a "wishing tree"...its were she would put scraps, bread,or what have you...she had no idea what she was feeding. Sadly in Sept my wife passed from complications of COVID, she didn't get to spend much time in our forever home. I picked a tree in the backyard of the house that is the new "wishing tree" and put up the squirrel feeder I got her for her birthday which nature's animals have found and look forward to the feeding every day, and I do it in her honor and would like everyone I know to do,
The sunsets have been simply amazing for the last eight days in a row. I used to drive to places, like the Ottawa River shore or some other place just to see the sunset. For the last three or four years, though, my night vision went to space so I can't drive anymore when it gets dark. But I feel I'm so lucky that I can still see it through a window, or from the backyard.
In late summer, we began to dig two holes, each 80 cm deep. Then we made the concrete piers. A lot of cement was used (1.3 tons). To make it more comfortable, a wooden floor was built.

Eastern Gray Squirrel hanging out in the Maple tree in my backyard. I have boxes for them [see below] and feed them nuts everyday. Yea, he's happy....I spend a lot of $$ on him every month.
You've got to watch this amazing squirrel video. Thanks LeapFrog! www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4Eb1Nt6WIE&feature=related
