Ebird is pushing a backyard bird count this weekend. I have checked the yard a couple times today finding; Canada Geese, Gulls and Crows flying overhead, lots of Darkeyed Juncos and Black-capped Chickadees around the feeder. A Red-breasted Nuthatch and a Varied Thrush were in the ravine with a couple of House Finches keeping them company. Annas Hummingbirds, Spotted Towhees, Bushtits, Song Sparrows along with a few others were around the yard also. With the sun out it makes birding that much more enjoyable.
Played around with an earlier shot in Zoom Browser to merge it and some programs that I have, to create this.
Waiting for the Thaw in the meantime.
There is a note in this photos Set explaining how I have finished these photographs.
The Black Headed Grosbeak and the House Finch decided to have a bit of a face-off over the sprinkling can full of birdseed. Wrong light but I liked it anyway.
Thanks for sharing the experience,
Bev

Backyard area of a 4-plex unit, building was halted before this one was even finished on the inside. The framed walls can be seen through the patio the doorway. Multiple backyards in what was supposed to be a semi high end 4-plex housing develpment. To date a total of 37 units were built and currently are in some state of completion as they were when work was halted. Doomed from the start due to no county building permits, some units being built in a flood zone and the spending of loan money on the developers sons wedding not to mention floating a loan to a relative to start up a car dealership.
Night, near full moon, fair amount of low cloud cover, 180 second exposure, protomachines flashlight set to aquamarine and orange.

The most exciting part of digital photography to me is that you can always have two versions of the same picture i.e. color and B&W.
I am big fan of black & white. Therefore I often try converting to B&W.
Like this one. I have my bias again and I like the B&W better. Your comments are very welcome.
Taken yesterday morning as I knew it was going to be a crazy day. This pond is right behind our house in what they call significant wetlands. If you click on the map, you will see the size of this pond. From my property line, it's about 100 feet. I think it's going to be a source of many photo opportunities.
It's not the weekend, but if you have time, view in the light box.
