As the sun was going down I decided I would shoot into the sun and get backlight on my subjects. The results surprised me! I shall upload more pics in the course of the week.I just corrected the WB and upped the contrast a little bit.

Well, I am finally underway, again, folks! I had quite a time with my computer, and of course, we were away for Christmas, so I have a lot of catching up to do! I hope you all have good health and happiness in the new year.....feliz ano nuevo to my Spanish speaking friends.
Part of the new light kit I recently purchased included gel's for the background strobe. I played with it for a bit today as a backlight, rather than a background light. I like the effects! I used a new "Fantasy Cloth" backdrop, not so sure I'm liking that, to be honest but it was pink and it worked well with the red light. It's a textured type backdrop and I think I might have preferred something a little more flat.
the copper wire was hammered flat, tinned with solder, and positioned over the LED. The idea is that it keeps the LED from shining directly onto the diffuser/glass. The light is instead reflected off of the tinned surface of the wire and onto the tinned copper clad board. The goal was to diffuse the light and avoid the bright spots.
