Just playing around with some backlighting techniques. I didn't think I was as happy with this one as I was with the others, but I actually really like it now that I look at it...

"Ein Ganzzug, auch Blockzug, ist ein Güterzug, der als Ganzes ohne zwischenzeitliches Aussetzen oder Beistellen von Wagen vom Start- zum Zielbahnhof durchfährt.

Ganzzüge verkehren überall dort, wo große Mengen eines Ladegutes vom Versender zum Empfänger zu transportieren sind. Typisch ist der Ganzzug für den Massengutverkehr im Montanwesen, z. B. bei der Beförderung von Erz zwischen Hafen und Stahlwerk oder von Kohle zwischen Zeche und Kraftwerk. Aber auch im Autotransport (Werk-Auslieferungslager, Werk-Verschiffungshafen) oder beim Transport von Mineralölprodukten (Raffinerie-Tanklager) verkehren Ganzzüge.

Ganzzüge wurden früher mit dem Zuggattungskürzel Gag bezeichnet, die heutige Bezeichnung lautet CS (englisch Complete Train).

Rein optisch sind Ganzzüge meistens daran zu erkennen, das sie aus Wagen gleichen Typs zusammengestellt sind, wobei trotzdem oft die Farbgebung variiert. Ebenso ist die Ladung meist einheitlich. Hull to Rotterdam ferry. Sea became choppy and I was unable to keep steady hence the out of focus shot. I quite like the "motion" it has given to the image and I like the backlighting on the boy's hair and the sea

For our daily challenge - Backlight

I was pleased to see this challenge come up then couldn't figure out how to do it without there being too much light!

This was done with a penlight in the dark, shining down on an "everyday" item :D

Part of the new light kit I recently purchased included gel's for the background strobe. I played with it for a bit today as a backlight, rather than a background light. I like the effects! I used a new "Fantasy Cloth" backdrop, not so sure I'm liking that, to be honest but it was pink and it worked well with the red light. It's a textured type backdrop and I think I might have preferred something a little more flat.

My garden goes into shade in front of a lot of pine trees with light still filtering through for a couple hours....I was playing with shooting into the sun with this bright lupine. IT was about 7 pm.
