The bicycle is a classic, the grid is quite easy to find, the background... :-) Overall sometime I forgot how difficult is to corretly frame an image with the Diana viewfinder...

Original shot taken with a Diana F (the real one, not the "+"), 4x4 format on Kodak T-Max 400 asa Black and white film, almost no post processing, just scanned.

Here's to life is a unique art project leading to the creation of an exclusive sculpture in bronze that is a tribute to the love of my life, love, life, youth and all the good things this universe can offer.

Gabby Young (with Stephen Ellis in the background...as well as an equine friend) from their Dundee Jazz Festival gig on HMS Unicorn (the sixth oldest surviving ship in the world).

Gabby is one of many memorable performers who I first encountered at the WOMAD Festival (in her case, it was at WOMAD 2010). She lit up the Charlie Gillett stage. A great voice, great music, real stage presence and an absolute joy to photograph.

I've photographed her a few times since and finally got around to meeting her after her gig at Union Chapel last October.
