I haven't had a kalanchoe quite like this one. New blooms keep appearing daily. I like using them for macro shots and am having fun experimenting with washi paper backgrounds. I like the way the buds showed up in this pic.

My newest assignment was to go to Naturally Naughty Studios and create three boudoir photographs. All of them are to be different backgrounds or stages and different hair, clothing, makeup, etc.

Suluada Island it really is beautiful with gorgeous turquoise waters. The coastline is stunning and we sailed around the island watching the rocks lining the water

Hello awesome Flickr People !!

Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily and the theme at the fabulous *ღღ* Cosas de casa *ღღ Group, is white background.

So what is yellow, full of vitamins, goes great with gin & tonic and looks awesome on white background ? Lemon of course !!

I had this picture on my mind for quite some time now so when I heard the white background theme I was ready !

Well at least in my head, because capturing the picture that I actually like is surprisingly very time consuming (am I too obsessive ??? Am I a photography monster ?? I think we have something here.)… We all (yes, my family’s input is mandatory during the photo shoots !!) almost lost our minds with this one… Luckily we had gin & tonic for my husband and I and video games for my sons to calm down… So cheers my friends and I hope you like the result !

Another from last year. The background is natural - just the early light falling on golden grass with the butterfly in my shadow and a tweak or two of the exposure.

I went to Maine to shoot lighthouses with beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the background as I see from so many of my Flickr friends. However, it wasn't meant to be. All it did was rain. When it didn't it was gray or fog. :(

So here I'm taking what nature gave me. A foggy morning in Main as the Portland Head Light shines bright.

The huge and emposing face of Stob Dearg with the River Coupall flowing through Glencoe. With this composition I particularly liked the S curve in the foreground river leading the eye back to the background peak. This was only taken back in February but already feels like a lifetime ago.
