One of the most powerful patrol cars of its day. The 24v Senator was some machine, but had to be given respect as it was extremely quick off its mark for a big car, but it could get to it's cornering limits as a result with the 'backend' stepping out big time.

Bangalore is undisputedly the software hub for the IT industry from where India churns out billions of dollars worth of backend work for corporations located abroad. It is a thriving metropolis gone to seed already with the traffic a nightmare.

Flickr is dotted with a rather large number of software and allied engineers who work in Bangalore. This post is to them and their lives.

On the Bangalore Mysore highway, about 50 kms out is a place called Ramadevaraya which is a hill rising up on the right hand side of the road. This is just before the town of Ramanagaram.

A small narrow road snakes up passing the ubiquitous schools of higher professional learning that come up at the oddest of places in India as commercial education mongers set up their shops anywhere and everywhere they can find a place. So once you have passed the College of Pharmacy and climbed up a smaller hill you come to a small meadow with a lake and barred gates of red blue and white set up by the temple organisers. The stairs about 300 of them leading up to the temple repeat the same color scheme of blue red and white.

There were children raising up a merry din and you could hear that from afar. I thought there was a school group out on a jaunt but there were only 6 of them from the village nearby and it looked that the nearby schools and colleges would never see these young ones in their classrooms anytime soon, as they were blissfully unaware of attending a school and what education could or could not give them.

Portrayed here is Sita with a flawless dark skin and she sports a fearless red bindi and possesses an elegant jaw line, high cheekbones and collagen full luscious lips and an inborn grace and poise that was amazing to see and remember the lack of it in the so called professional models that one tends to bump into ever so often. No tutoring what so ever was required. She was sitting just the say she is here and not for the camera at all. She is a born natural.

This was shot in May 2010 and Poonam Parihar, a fellow Flickr and a software person was also there along with Pooja Prabhu from the LSE, In fact you can find more details of the trip on Poonam's blog.

Poonam says she lost all her footage from the shoot due to a wrong press of a button. I hope the software guys do not delete this nation one day like this ;-)

This then is as much from her as from me.

This is shot from the extreme backend of the Palacio Real de Madrid’s courtyard. With the sweep shot, I liked the angled distortion, creating an angling/tumbling left flank of arches. Hopefully this is a new angle and twist to this famous place. I also darkened the sky.

The Royal Palace of Madrid (Spanish: Palacio Real de Madrid, also called Palacio de Oriente, "Eastern Palace") is the official residence of the King of Spain. Juan Carlos and the royal family do not reside in this palace. They chose the smaller Palacio de la Zarzuela, on the outskirts of Madrid.

This is the nominal EV shot: I used the electronic viewfinder of the Sony A7R3 in manual mode to determine a pleasing exposure for the shot. I then transferred the equivalent exposure value over to my Fuji GW 690 and made the exposure.

On the backend, once the film was developed, I placed it on a light table and photographed it with the A7R3 and a 90 mm macro lens.

Generally there was a alert at a ungodly hour. Out to the backend of nowhere to wait. Nothing like going to breakfast with your gas mask on your side. I guess now with heat sensing drones it is better to eat separately. M3 Leica, 50mm Summicron lens.

With probably less than 2 minutes left before the shadows reached just too far, a Wright GB Kite from the First York fleet is photographed at Clifton Moor, York. A combination of the driver pulling onto the stop perfectly and someone to actually pick up made it possible ! Catch the backend of these in just a certain way and they look very much like the Wright Streetcars, which were the future once i guess.

I do like this pose it reminds me of a few paintings from the backend of the Victorian age yet the dress has that old movie star feel.

Since there were some remarks regarding stance and rear end I wanted to see what the car looks like without those large rear wheels. Well - a bit slammed. However, this is not too bad for a car like this. Regarding the rear there's hardly any room for the exhausts, maybe the backend could be lifted for one plate. Wheels are spinning nicely btw., though it doesn't look like it.

Photography has never been bigger, and we believe that we’re at the beginning of something that will change the way people use and see photos.

We’re looking for a variety of people: mobile engineers, backend engineers, engineering managers, designers, product managers, data and analytics specialists, content curators and many more. Take a look at http:/flickr.jobs, and get in touch if you’re keen to work with some of the very best people in the industry.
