I don't like the way my legs look.

Chakrasana or Urdva Dhanurasana is an asana. It is a backbend and part of the finishing sequence in the Primary Series of Ashtanga. It gives great flexibility to the spine.

Another shot from the Hampsted Heath shoot. It really was a grim day and I am still utterly impressed that Rowan and Heather could do this stuff when it was raining and so cold.

Walter C. Glines, ca. 1910, posing in a backbend position. Glines performed as a contortionist and trapeze artist for the Ringling Bros. Circus for several years before opening his grocery business, Gline's Penny Grocery, located at 111 S. Neil Street, Champaign, Illinois. Upon his retirement in 1956, Glines continued to perform as a circus clown, nicknamed "Koko the Clown" well into his seventies.

Standing Backbend: A Yoga Poem (Anna Falkowski)

There is a city within my body

complete with noises,

angry motorists,

busy pedestrians,

smog,

violence,

poverty.

But

this city is human

in both its dark and light,

day and night,

outside and inside,

sometimes softened

by the night air

where stars shine down

on me.

Come city

lift up your chin

gaze upwards

know that you too

have the same stars

singing.

The city never sleeps.

EDIT: Okay -- true confessions here. I hadn't even noticed the second spider until you all began commenting on it! I was just so fascinated with the strange but graceful backbend like dance position of the one in the center that I didn't search the rest of the frame.

So thank you all for bringing it to my attention, but it really wasn't supposed to be there! He's apparently quite a skillful party crasher and managed to sneak into the corner of the frame unnoticed. ;-)
