And I tread a troubled track

My odds are stacked I'll go back to black.”

Poster back to the future

A line of of Nationals present at todays Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire depot open day at Workington Lillyhall. We all nipped around the corner afterwards to what was BL LN factory

Cihan & Janine's Back To School Party, Fall 2010, Lund / Sweden

Seen over the pits in Yeovil depot on 13th May 2006 are a pair of London immigrants. 46115 is a standard Pointer Dart, in from Thamesway where it had worked the 214 in central London. More interesting still is 67316 ODZ8916, one of the first low floor buses, being a Lance SLF with Wright Pathfinder bodywork.

Like 46115, it dates from 1993 but amazingly, was still going until recently at Bath depot, undertaking a range of services around Wiltshire and Somerset.

Sunrise, Wyoming. A unique ghost town with a cool name. Once a thriving mining community, it now lays silent, collecting iron dust where once miners collected iron ore. Home to Wyoming's first YMCA, this silent city holds the key to an amazing adventure back in time.

The horns are the last part of the moose to be taken back to camp.

In Sept. 2013 we returned to one of our favorite hunting places on the Nahanni Range Road. We were accompanied by our son Jason and his girlfriend Shannon. The Nahanni Range Rd or the Cantung Road starts north of Watson Lake at 108 km of the Robert Campbell Highway. The Road heads east into the Northwest Territories and ends at the Cantung (tungsten) mine. Scenery is varied on this road starting with close mountains, thick-growing willows, poplars and spruce, the Hyland River, swamps and small lakes. Fires from various years scar the valley including the territorial campground at km 82. Farther east, the road enters a wide open valley filled with beaver ponds, Arctic Birch or buckbrush with the slow meandering Little Hyland River flowing through. Caribou, moose and bears inhabit this wild land.

After spending the first night at the campground, we drove to km 176 to our second campsite, the gravel pit. My husband, Barry, did his moose calls that evening and during the night, a moose did visit us - grunting and rubbing his antlers on the brush. Our son used the air horn to keep it away from our campsite.

The next morning, Barry spotted two bull moose in the valley before the rain and snow moved in. By the afternoon there was fresh snow on the mountains, and with the rain stopping in the valley, we drove out on two atvs to see if we could spot the bull moose seen closer to our campsite. At one high point on the atv trail, Barry called for 15 minutes before we heard distant grunts. A kilometer away, a bull moose with wide antlers walked into an opening between two spruce trees. The bull kept walking to us, stopped once to rake his horns in the brush, and at 200 feet, Barry had a clear shot.

Harvesting moose and caribou are important to us for that is the major meat that we eat. The entire carcass is cut into quarters and taken home to hang for 10 days before being cut, wrapped and frozen.

This year's hunt was memorable with having our son and his girlfriend with us, seeing a Northern Hawk Owl chasing a raven, watching hundreds of sandhill cranes fly over low, admiring the beauty of fresh snow on the mountains, feeding a pair of gray jays and a pair of chipmunks at the campsite, and experiencing the thrill of a bull moose walking towards us with his 50 inch wide horns showing just above the tall brush.

The Astrosurfer: an atomic-powered intergalactic sports car, accompanied by the hit new space rock band The Highway Stars! This epic futuristic vehicle is detailed and articulated with wheels, rubber tires, hinged doors, reclining seats, and with access to the car’s trunk. On the hood of the car is a metallic minifigure hood ornament, and underneath is a detailed engine. In the rear of the car are two folding jet engines, a set of tailpipes, a spoiler, and an Octan bumper sticker.

Background: this project was initially conceived back in fall 2015, during my long, imaginative train of thought. In late November of 2015, I took some photos of my Futuron minifigs in front of Christmas lights for an artistic bokeh effect. This led me to come up with the idea of taking a group shot of a few spacemen hanging out as friends, accompanied by lyrics from the Ramones song “I Just Want to Have Something to Do.” This soon evolved into the idea of making each of the spacemen as musicians in a fictional band, that was inspired by the music video for the aforementioned song — which starts off with the Ramones playing the song in the back of a car. With this concept in mind, in early December I took a photo of some Futuron minifigs playing instruments in front of Christmas lights. Upon releasing this photo, I was then struck with another bolt of inspiration while watching the music video for Monster Magnet’s “Negasonic Teenage Warhead“: towards the end of the video, the band takes off in a purple classic Buick and flies through space! This idea hit me, and that night I had a dream to build a futuristic space sports car being driven by a rock band — essentially an amalgamation of those videos by the Ramones and Monster Magnet, along with my previous LEGO space photography!

Production for this creation began immediately after Christmas 2015, as I was preoccupied in December with production of my LEGO Nutcrackers and electronic Mega Man sprite. The bulk of this model was completed in the middle of January, but unfortunately I ran into one tiny (yet major) obstacle: I wanted a Classic Space symbol flag for the car’s antenna, however the Collectible Minifigure that contained this particular part wasn’t available in the United States yet. It wasn’t until early February that these figures were available (scarcely) at my local Toys ‘Я’ Us in Whitestone. I felt up all of the packages, and managed to snag the very last astronaut, thus obtaining that seemingly-insignificant flag for the antenna!

The five astronauts are made from authentic Classic Space minifig bodies, hence the noticeable play wear in their insignia. I did however deviate by giving them helmets with color-coordinated visors, as well as contemporary faces. The instruments were from other Collectible Minifigure sets, with the exception of the drum kit. For the car’s design, I initially wanted to build an accurate replica of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air or perhaps a Cadillac Eldorado — but instead, I opted to make an original design of an arbitrary concept. The two-tone color scheme wasn’t intentional: I wanted to make the car solid pink, but had to instead make use with available pieces in the pink/purple color family.

Today Jessie starts the 2nd grade and it's Sydney's first day of Kindergarten. Finally they are at the same school again! Woohoo! No more having to drop them off at separate schools. What a drag that got to be.

Jessie's very nervous. She has a male teacher. That really bummed her out. She cried on Friday when she found out. Hopefully he turns out to be nice. Sydney on the other hand is very excited. She woke up this morning and asked, "Can I eat my sandwich now?" :D Hope she does well.

I don't think I've ever seen people fishing here before. Do fish wander in this far during high tide?

It's been a little over 2 months since Cuba...someone please send me back..

Aan het begin van een heugelijke dag werd deze Trabant geparkeerd voor het huis van de bruid. Een beeld dat oude tijden terug brengt.

At the start of a memorable day, this Trabant was parked in front of the bride's house. An image that brings back old times.

The half naked body of the 15 year old Miley Cyrus reveals her boney pale body. Without the rest of the image this child looks ill and weak. The passive position and the revealing attire is not a far cry from the intent of most advertisers to place women in a position of subordination and weakness.

this one is a little better
