5 meter megalithic longstone, set tilted. This one is just across the road from the Punchestown racecourse entrance.
…near our resort (Peaceful Resort) in Mothithang, Thimphu. Every morning we were there we saw these wonderful birds at the same spot near this fence!

Looking back toward Officers' Row. As I got out of the car to take this photograph, I heard a rushing noise. If you've ever been in the military, or perhaps in an air show, you know what it's like when jet aircraft come in low over you; this was something like that - but not as loud. A flock of birds - not sure what kind, about the size of crows - came rushing in from the direction I was facing (the direction I am facing in this picture) and sped overhead in the silent foggy air. They weren't calling out, but I could hear the flap of their wings snapping loudly and the sound of their bodies rushing through the air. It was startling and amazing. They approached quickly, passed overhead in a split second, and continued on, the sound fading behind me over several seconds. It was a singularly unusual experience.
Accidental blotter Macau paper used to dye the cover was re-used for endsheets to reflect the 20th century feel of some 16th century Spanish poetry.
The “Spanish Vellum” binding was given to Michele Collins on the occasion of our 60th birthdays. The “Spanish Vellum” copy is bound in Teslin™, sewn through the spine and folded down to size, with the title printed in oxblood on the cover. There is a foldover closure flap extending from the back cover with a red elastic cord to keep it closed.
I cut the endsheets from a Macau paper blotter created in the making of the Tyvek™ cover for the “Black Panther” binding. The book block is printed in black on semi-gloss 24 lb.Cougar text, grain long. The typeface is Myriad sans serif heads with Garamond body text.

Schulze is back!! Years ago I had a Volks Schulze in my doll family which I also bought second hand. His faceup was so delicate and beautiful, but just not what I wanted for him, so I couldn’t bond with him and sold him later (I couldn’t wipe the custom faceup because of it’s beauty and so I decided to let him go to a person who loves him the way he was).
I really regretted that I sold him, many years I searched for another Schulze but no luck. Until now :)
I got him from a very nice seller on DoA and he arrived yesterday. I will change his faceup soon (still, it’s very beautiful too) but meanwhile I will keep him like he is for a while!
