Camp Soaring Eagle hosts children who have been impacted with childhood cancer at the Jackpot Ranch in Camp Verde. Campers are able to forget about their illness and feel normal as they build their confidence by exploring new things like horseback riding, archery, fishing, arts and crafts and more. Camp is completely free of charge to the campers and their families and funded through charitable donations.

While at camp, the children receive 24 hour medical care from our on-site doctors and nurses. Campers can bring their medicines and leave their illness behind as they are surrounded by peers and counselors who understand what it is like to be a child suffering with a serious illness.

Here are examples of informative pieces that RSD can place in newspapers, magazines, and online to help raise awareness for and about the school.

This is the first time I've been consciously aware of the rustling of the plumage as a part of the attention seeking display. He, unfortunately, had little effect upon any of the Peahens!

We don't make the same mistakes.

We've learned to give more of ourselves. To help others. To help ourselves. To quiet the whispers that say that we're not good enough, that we don't deserve this life that we've created with little more than our own bare hands. We didn't have privilege. We didn't have normalcy. We had our own lives. Words simply can't explain it.

Don't forget those dreams that kept you going. The ones that you never thought would actually come true - but gave you hope that someday you would come out of this alive.

Breathing.

Inhaling the deep, heady scent of life.

Your own life. Not what she said it would be. Your own. A life with cats, warm bread, swept hardwood floors, friendship - love.

It's better than you could have imagined. Just the way it is. With unruly cats (she was allergic only to someone - something - else taking away your undivided devotion. She collected things as a proxy for holding on to memories). She wasn't able to hold on to you, though.

You - your dreams were too big. Too real. They were your own. With precious little other possessions to your name... those were invaluable. I know. It was like that for me too.

Thank you. For reminding me today how much I have. And how much I need to keep fighting for it each and every day.

I believe in you, babe. I believe in myself. We're going to make it through this. I know it.

Please be aware... I am no coin expert. Titles here are either what I was told when acquiring these or are from a simple Google search. I make no claim as to them being 100% accurate but I make an effort to be as factual as I am able when posting. There may well be some duplication of coin type or variety, but I try not to double post any single coins. My feeble brain may slip on that from time to time. These are all from my semi worthless collection of world coins from over the years. Little to no value exists in most (if not all) of them. They are just a hobby.
